    Which grease for Tongxin?

Have you tried WD40 or GT85? ONLY KIDDING!!!!!!!!!! Inside joke, you would have had to have been there. Seriously, take the advice of someone that builds, repairs and maintains these motors or try asking the manufacturer.

Hi, question on Haibike frame size

You can probably be sure that the bike has been used very little as a demo. The odo will tell you what you need to know. You will wait for a new one as they are still in high demand and supplies are limited. A 50cm will probably be ok. If you get a 55cm, you may have to cut the seat post down a...

    Halfords electric bike

I have a torque system, mid drive BH 700 City. It has an 8ah battery and was rated as having a 60 mile range. At 15 stone, 10 and the terrain I travel that was never going to happen. However, I can squeeze between 35 to 40 miles with a fair amount of rider input. Depending on the bikes system, a...

The Halfords cycle to work scheme in my area uses an independent ebike shop to supply ebikes for employees on the plan.

    Decisions Decisions Decisions

The Freego Raptor weighs in at 14kg and is probably the lightest 700c ebike you are going to find. Fitted with and extra battery with a range of 24 miles will set you back £999.00. As for most anything else you will be looking at 19 to 25kg. No fun on 3 flights of stairs.

    Thinking of new ebike

Both the Bosch and Yamaha crank drives work well. The Yamaha feels more torquey off the start but the Bosch has a wider power curve. There are also two types of Bosch drive, the sportier, lower range one is usually found on MTBS. The less torquey, greater range version on treking bikes...

    Extend your battery

My Panasonic crank drive is regularly shut off during lenghty downhill sections and on flats when I am feeling energetic. It greatly increases my range. It can not see how any system could use up power coasting and turned off.

New member looking for advice on trikes

Mission cycles new e-trike model is an improvement over their old models. It's cheaper than the old models as well. It appears to be based on their E-Solo model that allows for easy mounting and dismounting. Sadly I do not have any experience with any other models other than Mission. However...

    Split Rim??? Freego Eagle

I simply can not believe that Freego can not supply you a rim and spokes to repair your bike. True they may not have the original style rim but all you require is a replacement double wall rim and heavy guage spokes that are the correct length. I know they have spokes of varrying length and they...

    Chain Lubricant

Oh my! I do not know for what deluded purpose this poster wants me to say that WD40 is not a lubricant but that is not going to happen now or ever. For those of you whom may be entertaining his delusions about WD40 please by all means google "WD40 product description" and "WD40 material safety...

    Chain Lubricant

Like flecc said this can be a contentious subject probably because there is no one wonder lubrication product that can be used in all applications. If you would go back and reread what I have posted you will find I have made it quite clear that I get that. I have also stated that I would like...

What kind of chain is it?

    Chain Lubricant

You asked a simple question and I believe flecc provided the best response. The product you pick should best reflect the kind of riding you do. Reading up on the various properties of the wide array of choice and prices should help you decide what to use and how much you are willing to pay. And...

    Chain Lubricant

All you need to do to find out what the ingredients for WD40 are is write them and request a COSHH sheet. It not only lists the ingredients but any health and safety risks associated along with precautions to take. I did say that there were better lubricants than WD40 so thank you for...

    Chain Lubricant

You are correct about the solvent in WD40. It is naptha. If you saturate the chain with it, it will wash out the original lubricant. When I clean my chain with a saturation of WD40, I always lube each link with chain oil afterward and then lighty spay the chain with WD40 to carry it inside...
