    Chain Lubricant

WD40 not a lubricant?! Unsuitable for a bike chain?! I and many would and will agree there are better and more expensive products out there. But to state this should probably be accompanied with a reason why you believe this to be so. Are you also saying that because fully synthetic is a better...

    Frame shape question

There may frames avaiable that are smaller than 50cm for the type of bike you want but 50cm should be about right for your leg length.

    Frame shape question

Sorry, I meant to say does not look girly. Sorry the wife was talking to me as I posted and didn't proof read before hitting send. Frame size is determined by the distance from the centre of the crank to the top of the down tube where the seat post fits. A trapezoid 50cm frame and a regular 50cm...

    Frame shape question

Trapezoid frames are now popular because of the design. It gives you maximum clearance from the crossbar, when off roading, all still allows the rest of the frame geometry to remain normal. While it is true that both men and women use them, it does not come across as girly when a man rides one...

    Chain Lubricant

    Might give this a try.

    Chain Lubricant

My choice would be a spray of GT85 once a month or WD40. GT85 has an added teflon ingredient called ptfe. Both have a carrier fluid that dilutes the oil allowing it to penetrate the inner running surfaces of the chain and then evaporates leaving the lubricant behind. No matter what you use, you...

    schwalbe energizer life tyres

Your best gained opinion of these tyres is to go to a shop and hold an energiser in one hand and a marathon plus in the other and compare. Flecc is spot on with the description of the energiser. I will add to that by saying that they are a very well built, sturdy tyre that will last a long time...

    The lost Malaysian airplane

I wish that they would stop publizising the co-pilot's name and actions and focus more on telling all who the captain was and his efforts to try and save his passengers and crew. :-(

    wisper 905 parts..

Freego handles Whisper bikes now. They might be able to help you out. They might not have the exact throttle but with a good description or some emailed pictures they might have something that can be rewired.

    Split Rim??? Freego Eagle

. The number for Freego is 0800 077 8711. Give them a call yourself. I can assure you that they do not let their phone ring and ring unless they are closed. I have gotten a busy signal from time time though. Of all the bike companies I have dealt with over the years, I have never found anyone...

    Freego Hawk Punctures

It will do no harm pumping to 70psi to get 65psi when you release the pump head. Think about it, you bike is stationary and has no rider. The minute you get on it the pressure inside the tire increases. The first bump you hit it increases further. They are built to take it unless it is and old...

    Freego Hawk Punctures

What tyre pressure are you running. I would recommend 60-65 psi. I also agree with flecc about the marathon plus. I do 60 to 75 miles a week and have had one one issue since last July. As I also have slime tubes fitted, I ran over some glass from a broken headlight one day last week. One mile...

    Split Rim??? Freego Eagle

Hi Steve, I was commenting on the picture posted by Aushiker. Disc brake bikes will not have that type of problem. And yes I have seen cracks in rims like yours but not as bad. It could have started small, like in the pic trex posted, and gotten to the point over time where you luckily spotted it.

I would spend my money on a Freego Raptor first. Nice idea though.

    Split Rim??? Freego Eagle

Funny you should say this. I had a customer come in just the other day with a problem as in the picture. It was caused by rim failure due to the brake pads wearing down the sides of the rim. And yes it had a marathon on it. Like you, this was not the first time I saw similar factors. Yet in...

    Split Rim??? Freego Eagle

It looks like towing a trailer was involved as well. Like the rest of the gang, I have rarely seen this happen. When I did come across it, it was usually on a decent quality aluminum rim. This could very well be a "one of" caused by a manufacturing fault or as a result of a hard impact and...

    Bike to work scheme

http://www.bikehub.co.uk/featured-articles/cycle-to-work-scheme/ Here is a link that will pretty much explain how the scheme works. There are also links to various schemes. The first step is being employed by an employer that has a cycle to work scheme. It is a very good way to buy a bike. Good...

Haibike bosch2014 chain on front cog issue

I had the same issue with the drive sprocket of my BH. I took it off, turned it around and reassembled. Problem solved for another couple of thousand miles and then I will have to replace it. Perhaps the same could be done with your front drive gear.

    Freego folder. Any good ?

The Feego has a lithium battery and a proven (across many brands) 8 fun motor. I rode a Freego Eagle, with the same motor and system for just over a year. It never gave me a moments trouble. I now ride a BH City 700c. The reason I went to this bike was that it was a tourque sensing bike with...
