I meant it wasn`t worth the risk because i couldn`t get insurance anywhere and i didn`t want to be involved in any accidents.

I sold my brinco because the risk wasn`t worth it,a guy bought for his son who is a top mx rider and he is made up with it,the latest one are being restricted to 15 mph according to the dealers.

The uk warranty from kalkhoff is not the same,i have owned four S model kalkhoffs since 2011 and have covered thousands of miles on them with no servicing at the dealer. I`ve had a few warranty claims and 50 cycles have always been very good at sorting issues out.

The dealer where i bought mine said that a road legal version of the brinco is available from bultaco that can be registered and insured,the price is higher by 300 to £400 plus on the road costs,he wasn`t too sure because nobody had asked for one.

The brinco must be selling well because they have just put the price up to £3995,later in the year there is a race series brinco model coming out with higher spec and more power.

The designer must have been a clever guy and the original price,does anyone know it?

The S pedelecs aren`t realy needed off road anyway because the average speeds are low due to the terrain,you can climb up the hills with good assistance (bosch CX) and fly down the other side gravity assisted.
