Some forum members have changed bearing on out of warranty motors, the ones thst posted had no problems. Only odd shop will replace bearing most swap motor for factory refurbished one, very expensive. Motor replacement is Bosch policy, no opening motor.

In case of cars, car is safer as it has better handling due to lower center of gravity. Bikes are different, MTB gives far better control, braking and can handle those unexpected potholes, down side is higher rolling and wind resistance. The motor overcomes both negatives.
