Oxygen S-CROSS ST vs Momentum Model T

Best advice is do a test ride. Being only 2 speed the Model T has limited hill climbing ability, you need to test it on your commuter route hills.

Trek powerfly 9 FS or Levo FSR comp - what would you go for?

My only issue with Cube is their plastic engine cover. Next to no clearance between chain and cover, in my case it rubs, still working with shop/distributor to resolve it. Build up of mud in there may be issue along with cleaning. I plan to remove chainring guard at some stage. Luckily my...

That was add benefit I discovered, great at intersections. If you buy good FS for MTB then a dropper is must, wouldn't be without now. Don't drop you seat on steep descent and your family jewels are at risk.

Being able to quickly remove battery is useful feature. 1) lighten bike for carrying or placing on bike rack. 2) security, without battery the bikes not worth much. 3) charging, especially useful at pub or cafe. Great way to extend battery range. 4) interchange between bikes.

Trek powerfly 9 FS or Levo FSR comp - what would you go for?

That is typical markup for business, they are not a charity. There is talk of 700whr batteries coming out in 2017-2018. Due to different battery technology they should handle 2-3 times more cycles than current ones. It will be interesting to see what happens to price of current 400-500whr...

The change to 11spd 11-46 should solve your problem. The money won't be wasted even on this old bike as you can transfer 11spd system over to new bike in future.

Is it worth spending the extra

I'm running 11-42 with 15t chainring and find it has no problems with steep hills. On road I can still pedal to >40km/hr downhill unassisted. Unless you fit a dongle a 14t chainring you will still have a few gears above the 25km/hr assist cutoff. I've ordered 14t chain ring as I'd like to ride...

    Bosch classic to Bosch CX

It maybe time to up grade. You won't be disappointed in CX drive. The other plus is Bosch should support it for >5yrs given how many are out there.

    Bosch classic to Bosch CX

Lowering gearing would be cheapest option, if you can achieve 15% reduction by changing chainring that would be easiest option. 11-40 10spd cassettes are also available to give 10% lower gear. The other option is changing to 1x11spd group set. A 11-42 or 11-46 will give you an 15-20% lower...

Is it worth spending the extra

For commuting and light trail work cheaper bike will be fine. If fitting a dongle or doing hilling off road trails go for 11spd you will need larger gear range. As bonus you get better suspension and extra battery capacity is good idea if using dongle. Once you discover eMTBing you may find...

Do I need Full Sus on an electric fat bike?

Being ebike there is no real penalty with FS fat bike. Just have accept 15mph as top speed. In saying that I doubt standard HT fat bikes get much over 15mph on flat.

Riese & Muller Charger NuVinci Electric Bike?

In a marine environment you can't bet Gates drive with IGH. Besides Nuvinci there is also Shimano Nexus and Alfine, the 8 spds are on a lot of ebikes. Don't over look brakes, while disc brakes are brilliant the discs don't like sea spray. Hydraulic rim brakes maybe a better choice. Some of...

    Brose motor problems

The Brose battery LEDs show charge level. Speed, distance etc can been done by cheap expendable bike computer. Don't need assist level indicator, that is what your leg muscles are for. Shimano eMTB drive have recessed display so it is very well protected, along with gear change levels for...
