    Brexit, for once some facts.

    Saw this earlier and it makes an interesting read as indeed does the reference on the bottom line. What is the real reason the government is pursuing Brexit? I see that you've rejected every answer so far as inadequate (without offering any additional guidance on what you are looking for), so...

    I think some of us, well one of us, need to lighten up a bit. Try this p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px 'Helvetica Neue'; color: #454545}

    Fascism returns to Spain

    I don't disagree with that information at all but a country in the EU with a population of 50M plus will always have the greater influence. Independence is usually brought about through desire to make their own decisions / dissatisfaction with the current situation? Hard to see how joining an...

    And that is effectively that - they just need to be a little more gentle next time in front of the cameras.

    Fascism returns to Spain

    So true but it is a very big IF. It's hard to see how any of these cries for independence can possibly be met by such countries remaining in the EU. They will be so small as to be totally insignificant even though in this particular case probably a net contributor.

    Fascism returns to Spain

    Tell me more, what is Article 3... Not a lawyer and this seems sort of clear... Disqualification due to prior conduct or affiliations Herri Batasuna and Batasuna v. Spain, Etxeberria and Others v. Spain, and Henrritarren Zerrenda v. Spain 30 June 2009 On 27 June 2002 the Spanish Parliament...

    Fascism returns to Spain

    As I recall, certainly in the case of Scotland, the SNP Government had to get the agreement / permission of the UK Government to hold a Referendum? I really don't think that the economic factors had any part in the decision to hold the referendum - other than the obvious politicking that went on...

    Just a little OTT there I feel. You miss so much when you damn a man in that fashion. Even, yes even, oldtom is able to portray a lighter side to a person. First Tony Benn and now just followed by Hitler. You should take a leaf out of JRM's book and today OldTom as well.

    The same point was made very clearly in Manchester yesterday. Most of the 'children' who bought into the Labour promises weren't around a few years ago.

    Now who's jumping to conclusions? Anyone who reads the DT will be well aware of Michael Deacon. He writes a humorous (less) sketch every week day and they pull no punches and spare no one, usually Tory politicians. Big problem on here is a total lack of any humour - it's good for people. Apart...

    Something to chew on... DT this morning The mob tried to silence Jacob Rees-Mogg. But then he did something that stumped them At first, the protesters must have thought it was going like clockwork. They’d managed to dodge past security, burst into the hall where the Tory scum were gathered...

    Not sure how to respond to this. It's a total mix of both sense and nonsense. You might choose to think that Conservatives are solely intent on maintaining the status-quo as defined by you but I see it as far different to that. No silver spoons in my world and yet I feel I was both encouraged...
