First quarterly electricity bill with daily charging...surprised

Thats the bonus about electric. Its that cheap its not worth worrying about. That an I end up using works electric to charge the bike. The only real cost with an ebike is battery replacment and the bike itsself. After that its pretty much free. Much cheaper than £100 a month on petrol. Even...

    How fast is your bike?

I really don't think it was what theskip1 suggested. Infact I think it was Flecc pushing the boundries. I just thought that you using an extreme example of a break in robbery in comparison to those who tweak an ebike over a legal assisted limit no where near in the same league of "Criminal"...

    How fast is your bike?

I always think the 15mph is a little slow for one the road and feel alot safer when hitting the 20mph barrier. This is what I can comfortably ride on a flat. So when riding a legal ebike it always feel a bit slow compared to what I can actually ride at. However going up a hill which is where...

    To Insure or not insure

The personal liability one is probably the most favourable one for cyclists as a just incase if your riding one the road. If your commuting with your cycle its probably worth the money. However alot of times you can get your bike insured under your house insurance. The road side assistance...

    Snow and Ice

There's quite a few people that do it. There's alot of all weather gear out there for cyclists and motor cyclists. I'd imagine keeping the extremities warm is your biggest challenge. It would be worth looking now to see if there are products in markdown you can buy cheaply. Over boots...

    How fast is your bike?

no idea as i don't have a speedo! However using sports tracker on my phone the fastest i've hit is 46mph. But i think that was a gps error. I hit 33mph regularly as i go down hill. On a flat its probably nearer the 22mph average.

Difference between suspension and no suspension...

indeed its a very good idea and would work well. I never understand why the spring seat posts have a wobble. It could be easily sorted by using a slide and grove inside the post to stop the wobble. Still doesn't fix the damping though.

    Max Load of a bike

well alloy tends to crack where as steel will bend to a certain degree. I'd hope cracked frames are due to manufacturing faults or the wrong tempers.

    Trains and e-bikes

depends where you are in the country and the train you use. I've used my non folding bike on midlands and chiltern lines with no problems. Other than making sure there's enough space. Sometimes train lines like you to pay extra for non folders. You have to check with the train lines...

    Max Load of a bike

i think if we was to all stick to the recommended stock load weight i don't think any of us would riding. Well maybe the fly weight cyclists. A bike has to put up with alot more than say 85 kilo's for example. There would be alot more stress and load points when hitting a bump than a max load...

Difference between suspension and no suspension...

i quite like the suspension seat posts. But they do have a bit of a wobble on them. I've probably just got used to it to be honest. But when hitting a couple of bumps occasionally as there's no damping it can keep you bobbing up long after the bump has gone.
