Possible long waits for Bosch powered e-bikes.

Should have kept their Plant near Llantrisant in S.Wales . When they transferred production of alternators to Eastern Europe a few years ago they closed down there . Would have been handy now . I imagine they got their grant from the then Welsh Development Agency to set up in the first place and...

    Yamaha Electric Moped has bombed

The Yamaha EC-03 was originally £2650 and I noted two for sale in a Yamaha Dealer today for £800 off ie. £1850 . As the promotion finished on September 15th they haven`t sold at the reduced price . This machine has a 1.4 kW motor , 50V/15aH Lithium- ion battery which takes 7 hours to charge ...

    Pimp my bike !!

The Woosh logo looks to be a puppy dog of some sort . My brother has black Woosh and he has to explain what it is to interested bystanders . Perhaps they issue them to Special Forces and and only under torture would you blurt out Woosh .

Mayor of Bristol chooses a Riese and Muller Cruiser

Please don`t take this the wrong way good Citizens of Bristol but I hope they supplied him with a good lock as well . Would Fowlers of Bristol take Bristol Pounds in payment for a nice Piaggio Beverly 350 Scooter ? The present conversion rate is 1 Welsh Pound to 4 Bristol Pounds .

    Pedelec Boom Continues

Ebikes would face the same problems as Aircraft if overbuilt . More powerful brakes would need stronger forks leading to a stronger frame to support them . Then the spokes would need to be thicker , everything would be heavier thus needing a larger battery and before you know it the Ebike has...

    Pedelec Boom Continues

Should have consulted the Ebike Users on this Forum . There are many years of experience on all sorts of Ebikes here whether `cheap ` Chinese ones or expensive German ones .I`m always sceptical of the tests that the Authorities dream up . Look at the nonsense about testing headstones in Public...

Pedelecs get an endorsement as mobility products

Thanks for the link flecc , even more interesting was the fact that Chinese Ebike Manufacturers are standardising their batteries , fittings etc., from June 2013 . This will make it easier to source batteries for the myriad of designs and should reduce costs too .

Two years inside for supplying non UN38.3 batteries

Hatti you must hedge your bets with all this Lithium palaver . Contact those very nice Honda people and explain that although Forum Members on here have said nasty things about their Lead Acid E bike, they were misguided and now regret it . Please where do I sign up ?

    Another left turn accident

Sorry to hear that Kirsten, an independent Witness would be handy if there was one . That driver could wake up tomorrow with a nasty case of amnesia and forget everything . Get your digital camera busy and take pics of the bruises or injury , bike etc. and if you are fit , the location of the...

    Helmets

Such a helmet would be perfect for when you launch your canoe on the canal . You would attract admiring glances from the watchers on either bank . Incidently a bit of smart route planning on your part by starting on the English side and going home from the Welsh side .If you had done it the...

Roadieroger, roadieroger you are a star my roadieroger!!!!!!

Well judging by the range of prices , some must be a rip off as they are probably all made in the same place , China . My Lidl one was £19.99 , the Aldi one came down to £14.99 in a sale afterwards .If you buy a so called `quality` one for £70 and don`t get on with it you will be upset . If you...

    Helmets

For those not sure of sizes , the Argos one is quoted as Adult size 55-58 mm . My Lidl one is L/XL 58-62 mm as it was the only one left in the store at the time . The Lidl M/L is quoted as 54-58 mm . I have just got my Wife to measure my head and it is 57 mm but what a palaver as she doesn`t do...

    Helmets

They are completely padded inside with a combination of cloth and mesh , whereas my normal cycling helmet has a few strips of foam running from front to back for contact with the top of the head . The ski helmet goes deeper, particularly at the back and a cut-away near the headband knob adjuster...

Roadieroger, roadieroger you are a star my roadieroger!!!!!!

Lovely comfortable Helmet , nice and warm ,especially for the ears and obviously envelopes your head more . One Forum Member was worried about being too hot for the head, but it has a small lever on the top that opens or closes vents and there are 9 vents according to the blurb . I`ve never...

    Helmets

No, not whether to wear them or not . Argos have half price Ski Helmets which some on this Forum prefer to ride with .The XQ Max is on offer at £14.99 instead of £29.99 . This is cheaper than the one I bought at Lidl last December . The Cat. No 901/6844 is in black . Lynda this is your golden...
