250w Ebike Kit with KT Controller

I think that kit is powerful enough to warrant a torque arm

250w Ebike Kit with KT Controller

Yep installation, follow same steps. Might or might not have compatible plug, if not, it's just connect the output 2 wires from the battery to the controller input. Just make sure whatever method you use doesn't just rely on the bare wire connection (I crimp then and then use insulation tape...

250w Ebike Kit with KT Controller

That looks a suitable donor bike. If you follow the link in the 1st post that has a 250w rated 48v rear hub cassette wheel with 17 amp kt display/controller ( that's roughly 850 watts peak power from the controller !). Choose correct wheel size 29 in ? I would pair that with a 48v 20ah battery...

YOSE or Whoosh or Boost, or Something Else, for Conversion But Legal?

Nice Bikes ! Yes - 73mm bottom bracket - standard(ish) mtb size So you could fit a mid drive - you would need to know whether the bottom bracket was press fit or BSA and if it was press fit what sort of press fit. Bafang BBS01, Tongsheng TSDZ2 or the Woosh TSDZ8 are all 250W rated. You'd...

    My New Build

That's brilliant ! It will fit quite wide tyres, that you could run a lower pressure. I have 2.15" ones on the one i did for my son. I was wondering about these for the one I am building for my elder son ? https://winstanleysbikes.co.uk/maxxis-minion-dhr-ii-20-inch-clincher-tyre?

    Calibre Bossnut with Tongsheng TSDZ2

Sorry, I was trying to answer this post For a press fit bottom bracket you need an adapter - if yours is a BSA bottom bracket you don't

    Calibre Bossnut with Tongsheng TSDZ2

I know this is for bafang mid drive motors, but basically recommends 2 specific press fit adapters PF30 to BSA and BB30 to BSA. Once the adapter is fitted (so its now a BSA bottom bracket) I would think the TSDZ2B would fit ( I have that adapter PF30 to BSA on my Bafang BBS mid drive bike and...

YOSE or Whoosh or Boost, or Something Else, for Conversion But Legal?

In that case I would probably go for the Yosepower 250W rear cassette with battery - unfortunately they are out of stock of 26" wheels at the minute. The Woosh kits I have used have a better controller than the Yosepower 250W kits and are slightly more powerful (17-18a vs 15a). They also do...

YOSE or Whoosh or Boost, or Something Else, for Conversion But Legal?

Intermediate level off road, I would certainly consider a mid drive. How heavy are you ? You mention the roads out of the village - when you are off road do you feel you need the assist. The efficiency of the hub motors you are considering starts to fall rapidly once you are going less than...

250w Ebike Kit with KT Controller

Are you setting a record time between your 1st and 2nd conversions :) I would go for the LCD 5 out of those options, you'll need a 48v battery too. Don't think you need to solder anything I wouldn't fit that one on a rim brake bike - it will be significantly more powerful than the Yosepower one

Meroca dropper seatpost - any good? Oh, and someone's nicked me bike!

That's really annoying, especially when you've got it "just right" Interesting that it seems targeted ! Obviously someone else was impressed with it !

Meroca dropper seatpost - any good? Oh, and someone's nicked me bike!

I just ordered this one yesterday for my sister's Birthday present https://a.aliexpress.com/_EJ51WaE Is that the same, but I think yours is a cheaper price I looked at the internal cable routed ones, but wasn't keen on drilling her frame, and the external cable routed ones, but the collar was...

    Swytch Max++ Rear wheel kit

Brilliant, so £400.including donor bike with hydraulic disk brakes, and , as you say you've still got your original bike. Eta the 250w Yosepower kit is slightly stronger up hills than the 350w Let us know how you get on with it when you get the bracket The question is how long until you...

    Duotts C29 48V 15Ah cheap bike

OK - unwrapped it all (but not assembled) - Looks good, came with mudguards, rear rack, front and rear lights, solid looking kick stand, horn, pump , waterproof phone holder. Not sure whether to assemble it as is or change the controller / display before hand. The display has some parameters...

Case studies - how has your electric bike changed your life?

That's something I do too, originally when I got an electric bike I used the higher levels, but now I try and use as low a level as possible.

    Duotts C29 48V 15Ah cheap bike

Yes - if I was recommending a cheap 48V bike on here to someone that didn't want to build their own, I think I would suggest the Varun. It has a slightly smaller battery (48V 13Ah) but plenty big enough. The controller is, I think 48V 15A, which is enough for any hills but would be slightly...
