Anyone else ordered Trek nano (Cytronex)?

NIMH last about 400 charges generally if well treated - Partial charges don't count as a full charge. I think you'd find the Cytronex great for a 14 mile round trip. There is no way you would just use it for the odd hill though. Fast acceleration to 15 MPH is a big plus and far too tempting...

    Hub Motor Clicking

Rad posted a review on the x6 in which he said: "I’ve had a few niggles with the bike, one documented on this forum was a weird noise from the front wheel after just 30 miles riding. Powabyke were exceptionally helpful as were Halfords (surprisingly) and the fault was traced to spokes...

    New York Cycle Messengers

My average speed commuting to work today increased by 0.4MPH. I think I've been influenced in a bad way.

    What do you recommend?

I do ride the Cytronex occassionally without the battery (removed for weight consideration). When I do this it's mostly on flat terrain. The difference is acceleration - it's a bit slower to get up to speed and involves more effort as you'd expect. Once above 15.4MPH it makes no difference...

    What do you recommend?

I'd be happy to do this for a Cytronex (just for the hell of it) but I have no idea where I would find 4 miles of flat tarred terrain (and calm weather) or alternative bikes to compare. It would have to be a track so that there was no traffic or any other variables. Without any stops, on the...

Thanks. I enjoyed the video. The comments underneath say it all really.

    Alone Or With Others?

It's a lonely experience for me to. But then commuting always was. I find the forum helps makes it less so and somehow make me feel less like a total eccentric (which I probably am :D ).

    Cycle Lane Law?

Same here. I saw footies video and would have been most uncomfortable with that ride. Despite the odd gripe about bike lanes they are a great improvement. I only have to cycle a very short distance into the green belt and I can find roads just as bad as the one in the video. Roads are just as...

    alarmed!

Ok, that may not be best seller. I have enough problems trying to get the key in my u lock and unlock it or see the numbers on my combo lock without reading glasses. Need I go further.

    Non-Helmet wearers are reckless

Yes it's a hard lesson that. Things that impress your mates rarely impress the opposite sex.

"Helmetless cyclists must share blame for injuries, rules judge"

Off topic but I found this comment particularly annoying: " Cyclists can take up the whole lane when they pay road tax!" I pay road tax and when I'm on my bike there's all the more room for car drivers.

US or China - Best gadgets

Yeah that's the contraption that featured. Love the comment: "This is not new I remember seeing these at the underwater championships in Aldershot UK in the late sixty's "

    Best distance so far

Hi Footie. Impressive looking bike. Same here 25 miles is the most I've done before recharge. Not quite so hilly here in the Midlands but I've only got a diddy NIMH battery (Cytronex).

    Grease guns

Water pistol and fill it with distilled water should do the trick:D I was looking for my old grease gun last year. Needless to say it had vanished. My old bike has grease nipples. Interested myself.

    Stolen Bikes & Insurance Policies

When I asked my Home contents insurer they said it was covered already along with jewellry, money and other stuff while away from home - up to a value of £1000 (the cost of my bike as it happens). I keep meaning to check the details out to see if there's some catch I've missed - like powered bikes.

    Stolen Bikes & Insurance Policies

Yes it's all down to cirumstances and odds. I don't use my bike for shopping much and work is relatively secure. I can well understand why you value high security given your bikes exposure and location.

    Best E-Bikes - What make ?

I agree depends on usage. If you're not on a tight budget I'd be looking at the Wisper 905 range, the Kalkoffs, and for less assistance and a more Bikier feel Cytronex.
