can I use V brakes on a 350/500w FRONT HUB conversion kit ?

Lots of brakes are tektro ones that have been rebranded. Is more about keeping the rims clean of muck, cables tight but smooth and picking good brake pads. I find tektro brake pads to be awful but tektro brake levers and brakes to be good(I won't actually buy any other levers). Clarks triple...

    Anyone used a trailer?

I'm thinking of a cycle+camping holiday next year and will likely have a motorist friend drop us off in the middle of nowhere(near a campsite if we are lucky) and then see how it goes. I like to plan far far in advance, more so if we have the chance to be stranded lol Has anyone had...

ACF-50 or GT85, too good to be true?

I generally like to use whatever is on special offer, at the moment gt85 as that was on special offer last time I went to buy some stuff but next time I could just go crazy and end up with anything.

Fatbike Custom Pedelec Hub Build Help

Storage doesn't help, currently I have 4 bikes and untold spare parts but mostly use the single speed racer I built up a month or 2 ago. Being in london I kinda know that it doesn't matter where/how I chain up a fatbike it stands out and will get nicked within a week. Weight wouldn't help either...

Fatbike Custom Pedelec Hub Build Help

I think the easier way to convert a fatbike might be via a chaindrive system/kit like the bosch mid drive stuff as it avoids rebuilding wheels but does mean chaining the bb. The kit in the picture is one of these VVV and assuming they have the same amount of spokes you just need a good wheel...

Pedelecs - Read Terms and Conditions of Warranty

Cup and bearing brackets the quality is entirely in the servicing, if you don't service them then they get loose/dirty/ect and that causes issues. The upgrade to a sealed unit is a polite way of doing it instead of just telling you straight that you don't look after your bike(s). I'm going to...

    Man; that's just bad-ass behaviour...

I'm going to laugh for days when one of the americas dumbest criminal style tapes is shown of a guy mouthing off at police and saying "drugs, yeah whatever I shoved them up my ****" or something to that effect.

    Yet Another Ebike Theft

I think the idea was to run it off the huge ebike battery but then do you advise people to leave the battery in the bike when they lock up so the tracker works or take the battery out so it doesn't get the battery stolen? I personally think that whenever someone takes any bike for repair or...

    Another cyclist death in London

News link tho it doesn't say much. BBC News - Cyclist killed on Mile End Road cycle superhighway CS2 I can see both sides of the arguments about putting up proper seperated cycle paths/lanes/roads, on the cyclists side we don't die as much but are a minority on the roads, on the road traffic...

    Interesting approach to bike theft.

The one that was stolen shows black and white but with the black being the seatpost tube, the one you found has black by the headset/forks tube but white by the seatpost tube. Could still be stolen but not the same one.

    Trek Clyde Conversion

I have an almost new electra I'm not keen on anymore, it was cool for 1000 miles but then the chain came off and I decided the coaster brake would get me killed in london traffic. No huge loss as I got lucky with sales and picked it up for £145 on amazon. Anyway for longer bars electra make...
