    Broken spokes

As Flecc says, I've never experienced a broken spoke on mine but that may be due to the roads being rideable around here. As my route is almost fixed I've learned all the areas to avoid. Aron had a problem with his spokes in the early days on the forum...

User Titles / Reputation / Post Ratings

There are some features of vBulletin which allow us to use rank but I don't really want to use it as it can also be used in a negative way. There are loads of enhancements for the software so I will have a scout around to see what is available. For the simple post count, rather than reflect...

    challenge..

Hi Tim, welcome to the forum, glad you are finding it of use. We have a fantastic community here as you can see! I'm suspecting your route is approx 16 miles each way having a quick look at Google maps which is definitely achieavable by electric bike. Most bikes will give you that range and...

Pannier rack for Urban Mover UM36?

Hi Haku, welcome to the forum and glad to hear you are enjoying your new bike! There are rear racks available for bikes without mounting holes. My old MTB-style electric bike was the same. The rack I purchased still bolted to the frame above the rear spindle but there was the addition of a...

Hi Stuart, you'll be pleased to know we are moving to a new server over the next week or so (and also a completely new front-end to the site although this might take a bit longer as we'll run both side by side until we are happy to switch over). We are quite lucky in that we are not on a...

In today's Times newspaper, they asked five leading experts to offer some ideas for Tony's whipround present. One of the suggestions was for an electric bike. LevBikes suggested a LEV Eagle for £687 which comes within the budget of around £760. However, James Fitzgerald of LevBikes said he...

News: Surging costs of NiMh batteries

Not necessarily new news for us here on the forum, but an interesting read on ExtraEnergy: In spring of 2007 something happened that was not imaginable some years ago––raw material prices of nickel, aluminum, copper, and cadmium rose significantly, resulting in a price increase of...

    Embarassing moments.....

Probably best not to hijack the original thread further so we can continue this here :D I had a similar embarrasing moment when I had been working every waking hour of the day on a s/w development project for six months. The client had really annoyed me by phoning me to discuss bugs on a...

    Rattling front mudguard Sprint 7

I had quite severe judder when I received my Torq. The problem though was caused by the headset not being set correctly. Once that had been adjusted and tightened, the problem disappeared. Plus mine has the original brakes that contribute to the juddering problem.

    Another electric vehicle forum

The VIsForVoltage forum does still exist although they had to start from scratch. Unfortunately the hack was catastrophic for them as they pretty much lost all their data. It's shame some people can't put their abilities to better use.
