Good service from Greenway so far - reply received with apologies and telling me a new disc is on its way. As for the battery - I'm not sure what the benefit is of 48V on a mid-drive bike - the pedals already spin fast enough (genuine question). Yes, the display is certainly over sensitive...

Thanks - I tried this - it's a little better, but still binding - new disc required.

I'm still having problems with the front brake. It turns out that my orginal post about delivery saying: "outer part of wheel / brake disc mashed" was significant. The brake disc is not straight - it's slightly bent - hence why I can't set it up right - I only found this when I turned the bike...

The battery case is a Phylion SF-06. Simple two terminal battery (no communication between BMS and controller). And my Crossfire-e uses the same battery case, but is not directly physically compatible as all 6 terminals are connected with the Crossfire. Also the physical lock is slightly...

The ebay advert says: "SAMSUNG CELL Li-ION, DC36V 10.4AH". The solution is definitely a bigger battery pack if I need to carry on riding in the style I do on the routes with long hills. Or turn the assist level right down (to 3?) and see how I go - I think I will try that next Sunday. There...

Can you confirm which lead you are using for the progamming? I may get one "just in case" :-)

Agreed. I'm simply asking too much of the battery supplied with the bike combined with my weight and a hill that peaks at 15%. It's 10.4Ah - presumably capable of supplying 10 Amps continuous. If the controller is set to draw 14 amps on Level 5 for 9 minutes plus, it's not going to like it! A...

First proper ride done - 18.8 miles traveled, 1688 feet climbed. 50% battery remaining. Really enjoyed the ride. The overall cycling experience was somewhere between the Kudos Tornado and the Carrera Crossfire-e: the Tornado is PAS / Throttle only with a full power throttle. Spinning the...

Hopefully I will get used to it. It may also be that this is a configurable parameter in the motor setup - to me it feels like the power cut is twice as long as it needs to be.

Yes - this is exactly what is happening. The spacer block is not the highest quality - when tighenting up the caliper bolts the whole caliper twists as it presses against the spacer. I think it's going to take a bit of sorting out - I may even have to contact them to send me out another spacer...

First Shake down ride done. Overall impressions: Bike is comfortable to ride - geomtery is fine for me at 5ft6 (even if I need to put the saddle up a bit). Motor is very quiet and smooth. Motor pulls well from a standing start. Very easy to pedal over the 25kmh cutoff. Gear change sensor works...

Oh 'eck - hadn't considered that - that's going to be a problem on my GreenWay as well :(

I have SKS Bluemels on my Crossfire-e (700c wheel). They do narrower fitments for road bikes too: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/sks-bluemels-road-mudguard-set/ They do a reasonable job of keeping the bottom bracket area clean.

This thread, however suggests that 36V may be "hardcoded" into the controller (unless the controller auto detects voltage and populates the field on screen depending on the battery connected): https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=85918&p=1259716&hilit=+max+drive#p1259716

As per the photo in the 1st post: MMG33.350 36V250W14A 1511090008 I believe this equates to this product (but I could be wrong): http://www.szbaf.com/en/components/component/motor/mm-g330250.html MMG330.350 lists Voltage as 36/43/48V. I would probably stick with 36V anyway, even if 48V is...

I agree. I've been trying to find a 14.5Ah + battery in an SF06 case at a reasonable price, but without much luck. Phylion do claim to make them with Panasonic / Samsung cells - i just need to find a supplier. One of the German bikes does have a 48V pack in an SF-06 case though - price is a...

Not had a chance yet - weather is shocking and I don't want to get the nice shiny bike all dirty! I'm using the Tornado to commute on for now. I had a quick go in the lounge(!) so I know that the motor is working OK :) Hopefully it will be dry enough tomorrow and I will be able to get some...

This. I scoffed when my parents (in their 70s) bought them. That was probably about 6 years ago. Then they updated them to slightly newer models. I gave one a try and realised it wasn't quite what I thought it was. I realised that: 1) I could cycle to work every day - driving could become the...

Here's the bike pretty much assembled with the seat post set to the lowest height as per the markings on the seat post. The seat post will drop lower into the tube (by maybe 2 inched) without being cut. I was a bit concerned whether it would fit me OK as I am only 5ft6 with a 30 inch...
