    192mph........hero!

And yet, there isn't carnage on the de restricted parts of the autobahns. If you're killed, it doesn't matter if the car was doing 30 or 130 mph. Your logic seems to mean you'd like to see everyone driving at about 20 mph everywhere.

    192mph........hero!

Nope, it's perfectly true. I've travelled at those speeds many times on my motorbikes. Whilst doing it I've never crashed, never been hurt and never hurt anyone else. Better still, it wasn't viewed as bad by the other people on the road. It wasn't even illegal. It was in Germany, a country...

    192mph........hero!

I was riding along a motorway on my motorbike one day, I was doing about 140 MPH when I saw a car catching me. It was a Ferrari which passed me like I was stationary. I didn't think he/she was mad, bad or evil. I was impressed. No children or fluffy animals were hurt or killed that day by either...

    Resistance Trainers

I've got a set of Tacx Antares rollers and a tacx roller support stand. You can use just the rollers or use the support stand to remove the front wheel and clip that to the stand. This makes the bike secure.

    Bike carrier advice

I have a Thule 3 bike carrier. 60kg limit and 20kg per bike. My ebikes are probably only 20kg without the battery fitted. They sit very secure when on the rack and I've done some fairly high speed runs with it on, It sits very secure and doesn't move when clamped on properly. It's this one...

    Strange puncture..

I've now bought a new tube and a couple of bottles of slime. I'll beat that canal yet. :) I just thought it funny since my front tyre which isn't a Schwalbe never got the puncture. P.S. It wasn't funny when it happened, I'm just glad no children or fluffy kittens were within earshot. :)

    Strange puncture..

I've got a lovely new Schwalbe smart Sam plus on the Typhoon's back wheel. So I confidently went along the canal and got a puncture. At first I was cursing the Schwalbe but when I took the tube out I found a tiny pinhole in it but no sign of anything sticking in or through the tyre. I stuck...

Bike for fairly fit 75 year old woman wanting assistance on hills

I've got a Kudos Tourer, albeit the one with dérailleur gears. It's a full size bike so it would depend on your mothers height Both my Kudos bikes and my wife's Woosh bike have simple pedal sensors. I've never found it to be a problem, it's a Godsend when you're tiring and needing a wee rest...

What is the best bike for.......

There's no Woosh dealer near me either. I bought a Woosh for my wife. Sometimes in life you've just got to take a chance. ;)

King Meter Error 30 Kudos Typhoon

None of the buttons are sticking are they? The up, down and mode buttons I mean. I've de restricted the speed on my typhoon a few times, sometimes if I've not pressed the buttons correctly I get the error code. I'm probably wrong but you never know.

    Derestricting Sirocco CDL

The reason I thought about was because it happened to me when I broke the cable for the speedo sensor. You know it's going to cut out when you're half way up a hill. I quickly learned to switch it off and back on again just before I started climbing hills, also when I was stopped at traffic...

    Derestricting Sirocco CDL

If you're saying the speedometer isn't working, you may find the bike switches off after a while, 5 or 10 minutes. The bike will assume it's not moving and close down.

Anybody who has spent time on an e-bike exhibition stand, will appreciate this thread

I stood on the canal towpath explaining to one 'chap' why my bike didn't charge up while pedalling. I thought I'd covered it all, I explained that the extra effort in pedalling to charge wasn't worth the effort and when I finished, he simply says, "I think they should make one where the extra...

How to replace an e-bike tube without removing the wheel.

Gaadi tubes! I've got one in the bag on my Tourer and one in the bag on my Typhoon. I don't have one in the bag on my Merida. :( As you can read in my posting earlier. :)

    Sod's law

Yesterday was a lovely sunny and warm day. I decided on a little cycle to my favourite cafe. It's 5 miles away, 4 miles of which is along the canal. I decided to take my non electric bike. I decided to travel light. I tool just the essentials: A pump, small toolkit, puncture repair kit and a...

How many watts do you think a 8 and 6 year old can produce.

The 6 year old will produce about 25 watts as he'll want to help you. The 8 year old is a bit more mature. He'll produce nothing, he'll sit there letting you and the younger more nieve brother do the work, smiling quietly to himself. ;)

    50 Cycles: London telephone number!

I've got no interest in dealing with a company who hides their phone number. It doesn't matter what they're selling, there's more places selling it than buying it so we can always 'phone' someone else. ;)
