when i first got my powabyke there was a squeaking every so often,i traced to the magnets rubbing against the sensor. i adjusted the disc and everything has been ok since then but i do periodically inspect it

mine should be ok now,,but if i have problems at least i have learnt how to do it......the hard way..............

Panic is over..its now ok. After wiping the smallest gear a small slot was revealled. Out of this slot onto the floor dropped a small peg about half the size of my fingernail ! i just decided to check the grease in the motor...pulled it to bits grease is quite sloppy....is this right....or should i get rid and put new grease in ,if so what kind ? Decided to put it back together but now the motor appers to turn inside but wheel doesnt move,there only appear to be 3...

i think the biggest problem maybe the weather !! i thought this global warming was all about increase in temperature and less water...somebody forgot to tell him up there because in my part of the country we have just had two tropical rainforest type summers...:D

I think its is generally people who have never ridden a bike since they were about 5...People who have ridden a bike on the road tend to give you a wide berth and appreciate the problems....HGV drivers generally seem to be better than the rest..White van man,Range Rover,Sportscars and boy/girl...

i agree that there are lots of places where it can't be done,but i also know of lots of places where there are big wide footpaths and no pedestrians and also grass verges which in themselves cost a lot to maintain which could create cycle lanes. There is a road which used to be a suicide road...

i now have a cateye 500g,,,my first mirror was a blackburn type which my wife knocked off while walking past...she hasn't been as successful with the cateye as its better quality......yet !

Rod, i think you are confusing Powabyke with Powacyle,two completely different companies....and two different bikes,but will be in the same market as the Cytronex all come in at around £1000 with similar battery sizes/range

The official figures wil be launched soon but i think the bike was about 23/24 kg with battery. Initially i think it was quoted at 27kg in its earlier days but they managed to get a bit more weight off. The battery..again i think...was 6amp lithium. My apologies if i am not exact on these figures
