i got the general impression that 20 mile is conservative but you have to be where batteries are concerned. I think a longer range would be advantageous but given the bike should be under £1000 and the batteries approx £170, if you need the range you just need more batteries. If Franks estimate...

I have just got back from a very wet Rochdale after viewing the new Powabyke stepthru and the prototype cross bar version..Poor Frank sheltering under a tent waiting for people to demonstrate the new bikes to. The bikes will have a bottle type battery which should give a range of about 20...

enjoy,you don't realise how good ebikes are until you get back on a conventional bike and ride up a hill.I did that with my son last week and he motored up the hill whilst i laboured up at 5mph....shattered when reaching the top ! I am sure you will have many miles of pleasent cycling :)

hopefully i will be at rochdale at the weekend...just a little too far to make it on my Euro ..given the size of the hills and the 23.2miles shortest each way distance....between my home and rochdale..Ulness you want to call round for a brew whilst i try one !!! When will the new bikes be on...

I definitely think electric bikes have a role to play in in sustainable transport in the uk. What is badly needed is a signifiacant investment in safe cycling routes in my opinion.I think if you asked people what was stopping them investing in an electric bike /conventional bike, the answer...

i was concerned as to whether the bike would assist enough on hills and whether the battery would get me up the hills.Also would i get value for money over a conventional bike

for me the ability to accelerate away at junctions and traffic lights to get out of the way of other traffic... and the up hill assistance which stops you weaving up the road in agony !!
