60 or 80Nm front hub motor

I like to get to the end of that bit (off road) as the rest allows you to get into a settled rhythm with heart rate / breathing etc at manageable levels until you get near the end of that bit. There is actually another bit of climbing required to get to the top but I couldn't get the software to...

60 or 80Nm front hub motor

There aren't too many Swiss in Austria, can't say I have ever noticed a conversion. There was a guy in the village advertising conversions a few years ago but haven't seen any and he doesn't advertise now.

60 or 80Nm front hub motor

That is one of the reasons I started using a dropper post, easy to keep traction while seated.

Police launch massive crackdown on e-bikes and e-scooters which pose ‘danger’ to pedestrians

Problem is no one would want to pay for a separate secure facility with fire detection/suppression.

60 or 80Nm front hub motor

Not quite but not far off. I am a retired Engineer living in the Austrian Alps who teaches people to ski in winter time hence the profile pic (that is my office). My previous bike was a Yamaha hardtail the current one is a Merida fully with Shimano motor, I can't remember whether it is a 680 or...

60 or 80Nm front hub motor

A local to me climb 10kM with 1kM elevation change from start to end, often wondered how it compares with some of the questions asked on here.

What are you using to generate these graphs, I would like to see some of mine in this format.

Help! New Swytch Max kit that loses most of its power after 15km on a normal ride

Are they trying to make a bomb? It is obvious that somewhere along the line someone will want to measure output voltage. They will read on the Internet that you need to short 2 pins then short the wrong ones . It would be much more sensible to have the short internal to the battery and have to...

Help! Converting folder bike to cassette

Why not just ride a proper bike with sensible size wheels, then you have fewer potholes and bumps to worry about. If you insist on a compromised folding bike (only reason I can see is having to take it upstairs and in flats) they are also available with 26 inch wheels.

Sympathetic conversion ideas for Raleigh Clubman from the 80's

Vivax is (was) a company local to me. They went under after spending a lot of money on a specialist building / shop just before Covid hit, they never recovered. The shop is now a specialised pet food store.

    200km Range Ebike

For 10Km continuously? I have no idea what these bikes were but they will have been German. I'm also pretty sure that the battery capacity etc wasn't really up to it at that time.

    200km Range Ebike

We are already allowed 600W motors here in Austria because it is a little hilly. What difference does it make to the bikes used here? None. The exact same Bosch/ Yamaha/ Shimano bikes proliferate all rated at 250W. I think they changed the rules here because there was a mini Ebike hire boom...

    Battery Fires

I'm not blaming anyone but there have been many posts on here as well as other places that have stated you can charge with the BMS bypassed and probably all of them have carried a warning of 'low and slow and monitor'. Obviously if they then claim one cell bank went 'just one volt' too high and...

    Battery Fires

While he may not ha e been instructed to completely bypass the BMS to charge the whole bank he had been told to charge individual cell groups directly by bypassing the BMS. A couple of posts later he has got bored of waiting for the individual groups to charge so decided to do the rest all in...

    Battery Fires

There is one on this very thread that does yet realise how close he came to a serious fire by bypassing the BMS (based on 'knowledge' gained here) and is now talking about a commercial venture repairing batteries. I warned him in another thread but he seems determined to either burn his house...

    Battery Fires

Nor should they have to. Consumer / user level goods need to be idiot proof.

    Battery Fires

A couple of thermistors isn't going to cost much but I somehow doubt that is the route that will be followed / legislated.

    Help needed

Fitting a suspension fork where there wasn't one will play havoc with the geometry of the bike, the front will be anything between 100 to maybe 180 mm higher.
