Seeking Advice on Affordable Ebike for 20-Mile Daily Commute (£500-£600 = Budget)

the difference between a hub kit and a crank motor kit is only about £100. The cost difference is down to the gearbox. The gearbox for a crank drive has to handle more torque compared to the gearbox inside the hub motor, is more complicated, heavier and more expensive.

    Which ebike to choose?!

yes, you can, just watch out for the gap between the rear tyre and the mudguard. There is some space but not a huge amount, so up to 50mm wide is OK.

    Which ebike to choose?!

You can fit 50-700C tyres to the Camino but if you need wide tyres , the Gran Camino is better. More comfortable and more powerful.

    Cheap Electric Bike

Every software company collects data from your devices. The worst culprits are those that hold a large chunk of stock of the software companies because they may get special access directlyto their servers. Chinese Tencent is suspected to be an agent for the CCP. Tencent owns a fair chunk of...

Seeking Advice on Affordable Ebike for 20-Mile Daily Commute (£500-£600 = Budget)

We'll getting a new bottom bracket torque sensor (BBTS) system next week that I hope will fix that issue and give us a USP for building cheap bikes next year. The whole system minus the battery and motor wheel sells for £100 to speed up adoption. Simple plug and play waterproof wiring makes for...

XF08 in narrow dropouts - advice needed

As NealH said, the anti-torque washers need to be on the inside and the thin washer on the outside for the disc brakes to fit nicely. The rear subframe is quite springy, turn the bike upside down and wiggle the wheel a bit to get one side in then with one hand, pull the chainstay out a bit and...

Lishui Bluetooth Controller, programming the easy way

Yes. It's been many years since I used their apps last time. You may need to look up how other people do this. The screenshots that Mechaniker posted on #1 may not be accessible on the current version of the Forerider app. It seems that there are other apps since. I did/do not have much interest...

    3-D Printer

You still have to learn to design 3D and a lot of us (like me) are not naturally talented. I can't do something like the insert in your post #1. Is your padawan good at it?

Your spoke pattern is OK. The issue I mentioned was to have the same sized rim that fits the original tyre without efforts. Here is my wheel fitted with the original schwalbe Racer. I thread the wheels myself. My kit was a prototype, the rims we use now are silver.

    48v 15ah hailong battery options.

One part of the price of your battery is to pay for product liability insurance. Thanks to the proliferation of e-scooters and press coverage of battery fires, my product liability insurance has nearly tripled through no fault of my own over the last 3 years. Just ask the supplier if he has...
