    What bike is this ?

yes. it is. The motor is a direct drive, weighing about 8kgs on its own. It may look pretty on the picture but the wiring is a nightmare, the controller is placed in a space just above the bottom bracket. You have to remove all the plastic panels to reach it. Single speed, the thread on the...

Seeking Advice on Affordable Ebike for 20-Mile Daily Commute (£500-£600 = Budget)

It's not very difficult, but you will have to be careful. Drill a 10mm hole on the underside of the bottom bracket where the cable will come out. Screw the non drive side cup in fully, push the connector through the 10 mm hole then push the bbts in. The bbts has splines which will match those...

Seeking Advice on Affordable Ebike for 20-Mile Daily Commute (£500-£600 = Budget)

The BBTS kits arrived this morning. We installed it on Andy's bike. We only had a small ride as you can see on the odometer. It is very quiet and the start is extremely quick and smooth. You hardly have to move the pedal about 5-10 degrees for the motor to kick in. The pedals on Andy's bike...

a ready made e-bike won't help him much with hill start.

A bike for 'Eddy' - just for starts and steep hills?

The key advantage of the TSDZ is its very low battery consumption when human power is already near enough to maintain the speed.

A bike for 'Eddy' - just for starts and steep hills?

A TSDZ2B with 48V15AH would do it. Very low consumption on the flat and strong enough on hills.

XF08 in narrow dropouts - advice needed

You can do one of those things to put your mind at rest but you don't have to. For all the years that I've been selling hub kits, I only put torque arms on heavy motors like the Bafang BPM kits because of their high inertia and on the Gran Camino because it is meant for trail riding. Your XF08C...

    3-D Printer

I use autodesk123 but autocad discontinued it for a number of years now. It's lightweight and very fast. You click on an object and enter its dimensions very simply. None of the new CAD stuff is as simple as it. I am playing with OnShape at the moment but find it hard to learn.

    Light e bike review

you said that the BBC tried to defame him without listening to their 'more or less' episode. I did listen to the episode and didn't think he was defamed. Take the aspiration before injection of the vaccine for example. The chance of getting myocarditis is statistically very small.

    Light e bike review

we all do a bit of pick and choose when we are looking for stuff to support our point of view like me and the throttle. The BBC piece criticised him and his views but did not try to defame him. Campbell was an NHS A&E nurse for many years, so he has a lot of experience in the medical field. His...
