Happily we are on a fixed tariff with EDF until 31st May 2023 by which time there will hopefully be less volatility in the energy market & prices will be much lower. I always go for the longest fix possible so I can budget. I don't care if it's not the cheapest. Likewise with mortgage. Our...
While I wardriving yesterday I passed cyclist who had a flashing rear light alternating between a red light & a white light. Is this illegal or just stupid?
I think you are obsessing over the charging & discharging of your battery. Forget about having a timer to prevent overcharging & what's the point of a having 100% battery capacity if "I don’t want to discharge the battery below 50% as this will drastically shorten its life". It sounds like you...
Looking at European countries with similar population eg France, Italy, Spain they all have more than double the the number of police officers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_and_dependencies_by_number_of_police_officers
I never cycle at night. It's too bloody dangerous. As a motorist flashing lights draw my attention as they are so bloody irritating but I don't think they are as effective as decent output continuous lights especially for headlights. I'm sure that you can you see badgers in the road better with...
How do those supermarkets with geo-barriers that prevent you taking a trolley out of the car park work? Could this be a solution to prevent riding on pavements.
We have done rides of 30+ miles & there still seems to be plenty of juice left in the batteries. Both bikes have the 575Wh Wisper battery. Having the torque sensor is supposed to increase range by 30%. It certainly makes them nicer to ride with a far more natural feeling.
My wife & I had reasonably decent bikes (Trek DS 3 & a Boardman Hybrid)
which I had Woosh convert to eBikes with 700C front hub motors at a cost of £674 for each bike. They are nice bikes but then we had the opportunity to get my wife a used Woosh Petite for £500 & it's so much nicer mostly...
There aren't headphones. There are speakers built into the helmets so there is no restriction on traffic sounds. It's the microphones that don't pick up wind noise. You really have to use them to appreciate how good they are.
It's not a low cost option but the Sena R1 EVO Smart Helmets that my wife & I have are the best cycling accessories we have ever purchased. The intercom works beautifully even 100m apart & the clever noise-cancelling microphones ensure there is no wind noise. There is no need to push buttons or...
I really don’t think I would. I don’t have the time to argue the toss with stupid antisocial antivaxxers. They are like cult members & not amenable to reason.
I haven't spoken to any patients after they have been in ITU but those I have seen in A&E even if they didn't need hospital admission are very regretful that they didn't get vaccinated as they had suffered so badly with the disease. None of the unvaccinated with COVID-19 that I have seen were...
I asked a similar question in this thread https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/lost-keys-what-can-be-done.38980/
On a recommendation in that thread I got this jiggler key set which worked perfectly to unlock the battery from the bike...
Here is a pedelec with a fully enclosed chain but unfortunately Woosh no longer sell this model or AFAIK any other models with an enclosed chain.

It's a shame that the used example that I bought was missing the chain case. Goodness knows what happened to it...
