There is electronic variable capacitors but.
You would be tuning to one frequently at a time and the power transmission vs power pick up would be small. Ie milli watts as you have found.
The only significant free electric that way is fluresencent tube and high voltage power lines and even that...
Mines, ship yards, cars, rail, industry we used to manufacture items.
I even worked in waddon (next to Croydon)on water pumps. All long gone.
Three men and a dog would be a major new installation if they were making anything now.
That link misses out on just how the money is made.
Having head offices in London means the profit from all the national activities appears to be made in London. But where are the miles of production. Driving through Birmingham you can see factories and workshops I don't remember seeing much...
Just up the cost of food and power and London would squeal very loudly!
The rest of the country at leas has some production taking place.
And as to the subsidies if we stopped funding the bankers and the loans everyone seams to owe ?
Yet again 37% of the population in England decide on the future of all of the UK.
Where is proportional representation? SNP get 5% of the vote and 56 MPs
UKIDP get 12%and an MP.
Liberals get 8% and 8MP,s
Yup that's fair !
RobF Oh in answer to the vote in Scotland it was just over 50% who...
I'm a bit worried you want something less grippy?
If your foot slips off the pedal you can hurt yourself, especially if it goes forward and the pedal then hits the back of the leg.
Normally a good grip is recommended. Taking your feet off the pedals is easy, I hope?
Cars vs bikes. No contest. A few small scratches and the cyclist is done.
Perhaps the cars should realise we were here first before the infernal combustion engines.
Bring back canals for goods transport!
Humbug mutter mutter etc...
By do do some sub 20 kg bikes the carbon race being about the lightest. With good range too.
To get an idea of potential range look at the watt hours of the battery. ( amps times volts). Ie 10*36= 360 watt hours about the current minimum.
The higher the better!
And from left field. Here I come with a recumbent fitted with an electric kit could cruse at 20 on flat 15 uphill and fast down hill?
It's a mile eating option.
Note I was able to do 25kph ave on a manual recumbent. If it had a kit fitted then I think 20 mph average would have been easily...
But not legal as a bike.
It has only one brake!
And the exemption to be classed as a bike is only for electric bikes not any other type of engine.
So it would need to reach moped MOT standards as a minimum.
There are statistics and so on but the deaths per million cyclists isn't the same as deaths per million miles.
I suspect that the polders will encourage far more miles than most hilly UK trips will.
Two BH Panasonic drives. Both batteries were running well one at 5 years old with over 75% battery life left the other at 3 years no noticeable loss. The Panasonic batteries go on and on. The bike will climb anything with a little effort.
One sold on and second destroyed by a 4*4 otherwise I...
