22 miles commute... which setup is best?

You can ride straight away but it takes a while to develop the full power you had on a DF. And the electric assist should ease the transfer. Your cardio should remain the same just reduced peak power.

22 miles commute... which setup is best?

Recumbents are more comfortable. In riding for hours without sore wrist or bum sense. The first 20 mins is pure terror until you get balance. Then four months of learning handling and building Bent legs (different muscles). Mirrors for rear view a must but forward looking is excellent with NO...

Bike Cameras. The Negatives and Positives of using them

The BH was done by the 4*4. The other two were DF's in London. I moved to the recumbent as I can't take weight on my wrist after the accident. The bent is proving excellent with speed equaling a legal electric bike. (Excluding up hill). If/when this is electrified the ave speed should be amazing...

Bike Cameras. The Negatives and Positives of using them

I must be a really bad cyclist I have had multiple accidents. The last one was ramming a 4*4. she drove onto the cycle path in front of me I couldn't stop in time. (Ps just had first offer for damages of cost plus a few grand) Then there was the driver who drove over my front wheel when I...

I need solar panel charger for my battery

What's the limits for your batteries, time, range, money, weight? Three car batteries would be cheap but exceptionally heavy. An extra lithium battery as you have would double your range. Lipos have a lot of bang for your buck, but also possible bang on the bike. Recharging in a cafe or...

    Calling all ebike owners

Salisbury, heavy, hard work limited range. Returned to vendor. BH light fast with no power, great range and hill climbing with power. Secondhand both. Kalhoff secondhand fixed with motor from Bh. Similar performance but less sporty. From my experience secondhand with Panasonic crank drive gives...

    LWB recumbent mid-drive motor choice

The mid drive is usually done with a bbs... Drive from China or woosh. These are easily fitted to the front bottom bracket. You could also fit to the rear one. It's possible to do what you want but it's a lash up construction rather than mature technology. I don't see any rake or trail in your...

    Hallo owner of emotion bike

The city has the clip on (removable)display, control panel. They can have dodgy contacts and report flat batteries or communication faults. It's usually best to use the screw to attach it and leave it on.

Big fella - needs a big bike

But woosh have competed on price and the competition has dropped there prices lately. So a boost to quality and keeps woosh competitive without cutting there own throat. I like the bargin end happening it keeps the premium vendors on there toes.

    UK Supplier for BBS02 750w?

The old Panasonic 250 watt crank drive could climb anything in bath at a steady pace with a 100+kg passenger. Unless you want to do 15 mph up a steep hill with no effort and even fatter don't worry the 500 watt will climb anything.

    Newbie to E-bike

Can the NiMH batteries deliver 30amps? That's 3C if they are 10Ah. That's what you need for 1.5Kw with 50 volts. I doubt they realy can.. The lithium batteries normally used can give 3C comfortably. Standard is around 4 volts and 2.5Ah per battery. So four batteries in parallel times12 in series...

    Frame too light for conversion?

From your comments. Electric assist negates an extra Kg of frame weight. A split frame will realy ruin your day. From D8veh and others. Disk brakes a must. Rim works for 99% of time but even 1% of oh **** is too much for me.

Second E-Bike Build (rwd hub driven 5000w+)

5Kw is motorcycle territory. The bike Needs serious brakes frame etc. Convert a learner bike! Then all the fiddling and misc parts should be upto scratch. Then you need helmet and leathers etc. Especially off road as you will fall off and injuries will happen. Best to minimise them.

Ah but when we had a civil service running a post office it was overnight delivery. Now bits are privatised and staff cuts etc it don't work any longer. Cue we need to privatise to fix it. Then more money in someone's pocket! Ps I have never been a postman or affiliated.
