    Now this looks appealing.

Is it all road path? I can't manage any bunny hop or similar obstacles ? But with a fast cruising speed and comfortable ride position it would be fun. And 24 hour solos are common! In the race world.

Electric bike rider run down by fashion designer

Ah but the law is about the law not justice or fairness. It is for the well off to have competent legal council. And due process. It maintains the status quo. One for the rich and powerful another for the poor and weak.

Is 28mph too fast for a pedelec?

The 28 should be on flat and up slight hills. Down hill even faster. But racing bikes only get 28 on closed roads riding in a peloton Never uphill. The acceleration would be deceptive and you can get into trouble easier than an EU limited bike. At seventeen MPH I broke two bones in my arm...

Electric bike rider run down by fashion designer

Right that's it I'm NEVER going to buy any of her stuff again. I suggest we all boycot this designer and get our stuff elsewhere. That will teach her.

Is 28mph too fast for a pedelec?

Yes I used to hit this speed downhill. In the EU it's not on but if you want to go for it. You need serious brakes. Big disk at the front. Good safety gear. helmet, leathers, treat like a moped as that's what it is! Tough frame to carry a very large battery. It's going to need +30 watts a mile...

    Giant XR E+ De-restrict

I didn't make an issue in the past. There was one dealer who was unhappy. I tried to point out at the time it was close with no significant difference. but the Oxigen remains a very good bike with excelent EU class performance. As the woosh has as budget buy, and kalhoff as premium and BH and...

    Giant XR E+ De-restrict

I didn't make an issue of it or claim cheating. Given the race was won by a few meters over a distance of a couple of hundred that means a possible speed difference of less than 5% so a maximum of 1.1kph error. It's well within the error limits for the equipment given all the error sources. As...

ebike for commuting & pre-school runs & bike shed size problem

The battery can be charged at home. Personally I have had No issues with the three BH's we have owned. One sold on, one killed by a 4*4 and wifies still going well. They are pricey but nice.

    Giant XR E+ De-restrict

Foxtrot I don't know about seven years but at five years my Panasonic ( on BH then Kalhoff) still had 8 out of 10 Ah left in the battery. So not as new but still going well. Lots and lots of miles in them. If you run a battery hard you can reduce the lifespan but I belive the CD's were...

ebike for commuting & pre-school runs & bike shed size problem

Chr4 It you want easy mounting with space for a child then the BH emotion Neo has a frame battery that is a thick down tube! It's pricey new but a nice bike. And no torque issues, just legal top speed to upset the speed freaks.

    Couple of questions..

CharleyH. It's the front brake that NEEDS to be a disk. It's only nice ish to have a disk at the back call callepers are fine. Look up motorcycle braking to find out about weight shift and loss of grip at the rear

    Lowest Ansmann Prices @ Cyclezee

That's understandable. You and LEBC are pushing woosh with quality bikes at close to the price of the big bear. All good for customers but we also need bike shops to have some profit.

    What conversion to choose???

If you want to keep up then a recumbent can draft him but no advantage to him after you. Fit it with an electric kit then you might be able to hold on to his pace? And the size weight questions from D8veh is a serious one. It's to do with power requirements as a 16 stone man needs a lot more...

Just found out I will be losing my job...

If you want to work you can. I have had some real dead enders. Pizza delivery and pound land spring to mind. The pay is crap. The conditions crap too but you can build from a base upwards. It's easier to get a job when you are employed.
