    Derestricted throttle only bike

Coincidence ! Due to restricted movement and in an attempt to keep cycling (arthritis and crumbling knee) I've just shortened my crank arms from 170mm to 150mm. Unfortunatly at the moment my torque activated Bosch system is still to much :( I'm due for a cortisone injection next week, here's...

    Charge to 80% or 100% ?

True lipos can and are used hard and fast, certainly pushed to there limits they have quite a short life but I run 1/10th scale trials trucks, slow and précis driving with high wind, low power motors. Buggy racing was a battery killer, 100% down to 10% in 8 minuets, the motors would be to hot to...

    Charge to 80% or 100% ?

It's true that useing any lithium cells between 20 & 80 % will improve there life but it's not always possible or practical. If you know it's not going to be used for a long spell don't leave it fully charged. Saying that, in the real world over several years I don't think you'll notice the...

Unbelievably bad experience with a Haibike SDURO Trekking S RX

It's easy enough to brake a lever without leaving any signs of violence ;) Just putting two bikes on a rack and getting the handlebars entwined will do it. Then there's riding/ falling off hazards, Tree bark, soft ground etc  And to be honest it dosent look like a clean brake from...

    Trek

I already have a cube ebike, I also like the trek and its motor guard. As they both use Bosch motors the choice is down to style and personal preferences. For me the biggest factor would be dealer location, you will be going back to the dealer at some time, even if it's just to get the...

First look at the new Woosh 26 x 4 Rio

I like it, it looks practical in a good way, posibly the bike equivalent of a pickup truck. I'm yet to try a hub drive bike, even so it's the sort of bike (if fitted with a throttle) I'd chose to replace my cube.

Ridged forks instead of springs ?

The first thing I put on the bike (2 years ago) it's that good it gets moved between bikes as required

I gave up all the hard & fast stuff years ago.:( Ive only done one short road ride with My new rigid forks, not enough to give any useful feedback. Unfortunatly my old knee injury has flared up and lm struggling to walk ATM let alone ride

    150mm isis crank arms

£16 for a pr of taps is cheap enough, my only concern is the Bosch crank arms are cast with a hollow back making them thinner in the area I'd be tapping  making an adaptor plate is also an option and that would have the benefit of being adjustable, I could then find my own best length...

    150mm isis crank arms

Due to limited movement, I'm looking for 150mm crank arms for my Bosch motor (isis fitting) I thought I'd found the perfect thing at a unicycle shop 150mm, isis & only £25 but alas no offset. I'd like to buy something off the shelf but at a push I could buy the taps and modify my original 175mm...

    rc plane help

The lipos you'd linked to will discharge at 55amps, not so with your 18650 cells, there just not built for the high discharge rates needed for flight. When I flew RC planes I'd expect flight times of about 12 minuets per battery, big planes and big batterys or small planes & small batterys but...

Is Kalkoff Aggatu C11 motor kaput?

A little knowllage is a dangerous thing, so many bad decisions are made from second/third hand information  Batterys don't just stop working after 5 years. I'd expect a gradual reduction in capacity/range. I previously owned a earlier model Agattu and after 5 ish years the battery...

    The new best folding bike

First thought, what are you taking ! But the more I looked & thought about it, the more I'd like to try one out. As to buying one, I found no retailers but did find this on new atlas.com (Sept. 10/14): A Bygen representative has told us that the Hank will go on sale in Korea as of this October...

    Big Bens tyres

If you can hear the seatpost you need to get the grease out ;) I run big apples, Similar tyres to your bens, I found high pressures didn't mean higher speeds. I'm comfortable running 30 & 45 psi front & rear.
