    will i make it!

When I built my wheel it slotted straight into the frame, I fixed on the brake disc rotor and 9sp cassette to the motor wheel and everything aligned perfectly with the disc rotor - no special washers needed and the standard anti-rotation washers that came with the CST motor just slotted straight...

The motor is about 4.5kg, controller about 500g = 5kg. Adding the battery is about +7kg = 12kg total. I have my battery and controller built into the frame but usually ride with about 10kg of gear & 'provisions' on my rack in addition = 15kg + rack. The frame is lightweight aluminium. Got...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

^^ those are fine for reasonable road conditions. However like almost all the Schwalbe studded tyres sold here they do not have the side studs like the Schwalbe Winter Tyres referred to in the video above or the Suomi W240s linked. So they are OK as long as you don't hit icy ruts - in which case...

There's no need to change your frame. My bike has vertical dropouts and it's absolutely fine provided you fit the torque arm(s).

Any VAT isn't going to be computed in a conventional way when you get the bill either. See d8veh's post for likely cost.

No probs. Just thought about something else - if you are going to be bringing charger to bike at work then buy an extra charger now. Carrying one charger back and forth for use at home and at work isn't such a good idea as they often don't take well to being carted about so much.

... and don't even try to get away with a seatpost mounted rack. Either the rack or your seatpost will wind up wrecked inside a short time on anything but good road conditions. A few bumps and it'll end in tears. Plenty of instances of this reported here and on ES with less weight involved. For...

20Ah 48V is not too heavy for a centre mount system using a box/bag-type enclosure but it's quite likely too bulky (won't fit as too big). Don't know the dimensions of a 15Ah high discharge one. This was my box for the 36V 20Ah battery in progress - you can see how tight the fit is at the...

    will i make it!

The 48V 20Ah is 960 W/h as compared 720 W/h for the 15Ah. Couple of things if you fit the 48V battery with the S12P - do bear in mind the physical size / weight of the 48V 20Ah exceeds the 36V 20Ah .. and the 36V one is pretty hefty .. so will most likely wind up rack mounting on the rear...

    will i make it!

Possibly extra strain on the gears in the motor too so more prone to wear out faster ? You likely won't run the motor at max speed for the whole journey - stopping and starting and natural road and off-road hazards see to it that marginal speed gains have little real impact over a few miles...

Brand new premium Suomi/Nokian Hakappellitta W240 40-622(28") Winter Tyres

Selling off a pair of the above brand new unused - I will be using my MTB this Winter so don't need them and could do with freeing up some space in the garage. These are imported top end carbide-studded tyres from Finland which fit in between the cheaper double row stud Schwalbe Winter Tyres...

Is that a 48V rear driving Bafang motor you need to buy a freewheel for (Bafang BPM 48V500W Rear Driving E-Bike Motor Wheel - BMSBATTERY) If so it tells you to select either S09P, S12P or S12S controller in the order comments and you also need to specify the appropriate RPM for the wheel...

    Sign of the times

It's the general attitude of people on the streets which I'm referring to more than the particular crime cited. My view's unchanged. The whole of the South East of England (and much of Central England too) is getting on for the same sort of feeling now - I lived over that side of the country for...
