    Loose recharge connection on battery

Yes I discovered that last night. I also discovered that liquid polystyrene cement (don't laugh it's all I had to hand that would fit through the gap in the case!) is NOT the right thing to use as thread lock! (Capillary action caused it to cover all the surfaces and send the connector open...

    Bobbies on Wispers?

My Wisper green button is more like 12/15...probably due to the battery being no longer new.

Going from 700c to 26" need new forks though

If you think about the centre of gravity situation though... I weigh 90kgs. Most of that weight will be above the waist. My bike weighs around 20kgs. Where is the COG? Will 1" of wheel height make any significant difference to the placement of the COG? Probably the most likely as you...

    Forum clock awry?

Yes the clock on the forum is bizarre. For instance you say it logged your post as 06:49, well it displays on my view as 06:57!!! It's not just daylight savings, sometimes it's only 40mins or so in the future, sometimes over an hour!

    Loose recharge connection on battery

Yes, I've got the same problem on my Lishen battery (German ebay 905se). As it's way out of warranty I'm probably going to dive in there and tighten it up myself...(it's now got an intermittent connection so I need to do it to get it charged properly).

    Wisper 905 resists change.

Yes it's concept we call "dynamic stability" in kayaking. Essentially each pedal/paddle stroke gives you the opportunity to correct your balance. By continuously moving you are continuously correcting your balance...

How do I stop the chain falling off

Phil's already mentioned it but you did shorten the chain when you changed to a smaller ring didn't you?

Eeek! I suppose it depends on your definition of "minor" adjustment. I can see that theoretically adding a new set of brakes to an e-bike will change how it radiates the potentially nasty signals produced, but pratically it's not likely to be significant is it? BTW how nasty are E-Bikes EMC...

Oh great, either we have really expensive bikes, or all the innovative small businesses will be forced out of business by the excessive and expensive testing costs needed to bring products to market....:( Good luck David!

Fatal collision prompts calls to make helmets compulsory

    Review on GOCYCLE

Both this behaviour, and the review seem to indicate a well thought out and engineered bit of kit. Nice to see more cutting edge quality engineering coming out of the UK:) :o :)

Fatal collision prompts calls to make helmets compulsory

Ah the ProTec, they use almost the same design for their kayaking helmets (hence the bowling ball holes!) A good value helmet, shame it doesn't fit me :(

Fatal collision prompts calls to make helmets compulsory

Interestingly the shape of many cycle helmets (pointy rather than smooth and rounded) has been criticised because it can vastly increase the tortional forces on the head and neck as the helmet scrapes along the ground. In these cases a helmet can cause more injury than none. More rounded...

    Wisper 905Se.

Yes I found this too... didn't help much, and anyway it was far too short for me (plus I found the way it dropped down when I got on very disconcerting!). In the end I replaced it with a 400mm solid post...on its maximum setting! Surprising though I have found the suspension forks (which I...

    Cycle helmet wearers are reckless

Which is of course the nub of the thread.... What I'd like to know about however is the element of "getting used to a thing"... So if we accept the fact that if rider A starts wearing a helmet he is likely to take more risks than he used to when he didn't. But does this mean that after a...

Fatal collision prompts calls to make helmets compulsory

Yes I think fashion is one of the primary reasons that cycle helmets are not as good as they could be. This issue affects kayaking helmets too, where recently there has been a real trend for lids that look more like overgrown baseball caps and away from the more traditional over ear and back...

The question is do more switches make the rider more or less reckless?
