Check the motor cable isn't damaged at the hub axle exit/entry point. How good are the phase contacts/connections under the amalgam tape. Can one be 100% sure no moisture has entered the hub.

New 11a controller is 11a rated , it has tha same max 22a +/- 1a as the old model.

Your thoughts are correct it is for a Speed sensor if the hub has a Hall and magnet installed to read it.

Use only non metallic tools for prodding or poking around batteries , common sense will tell most to do so. Some of those idiots who post utube videos are a danger to themselves let alone someone watching.

17.5v indicates a BMS issue , for some reason the BMS isn't switching on. Via the BMS sense wire connector one can get all of the 10 cell group voltages to see if the issue lies with a bad cell group. If all the cells are good and above LVC then one is likely looking at a BMS failure...

Take a battery voltage reading using a meter, see if there is a reading . Not all batteries have an accessible fuse behind a gommet cover, but would be surprised if a Wisper battery didn't have.
