Saw this today outside Exeter Library. The guy had recently converted this cargo bike using a petrol kit from the USA. Before conversion he'd ridden it to Scotland.

I have bikes with all three types and 90% of the time I prefer torque sensor for a more natural cycle feel. I do find the throttle handy for city centre riding. Personally I'm not that keen on pedal sensors, but each to their own.

Now there's an idea for next year. Race down the hill, get to the bottom (thus testing the brakes) and then turn and cycle back to the top.

If Tim doesn't mind me answering on his behalf, the Impulse II is available in nominal 250W guise (Limited to 15.5mph) on most bikes in the range. The exceptions are the "Endeavour" range of S-Class bikes and a couple of the Focus bikes that have the 350W motor with 28mph.
