    Cyclotricity kit review

Nice review Paul. The cube looks purposeful but tail heavy. I prefer the lighter look of the mtb. Enjoy.

    Brake Disc Sizes

Awol Flecc has it right. But you can confirm the lack of breaking at the back with this simple test. Going reasonably steadily in a straight line pull the front break on progressively until the back wheel lifts off the ground. Bikers call this a stoppy it is the hardest breaking possible and...

    Kalkhoff handlebar controller compatibility

performance www.flecc.co.uk/p/performance.html This link should take you to Fleccs Panasonic reference site. The assistance with the spoofed motor carries on well over 25 mph but you need to help it do that.

Electric Bike for Long Distance Cycle Touring

My vote is for Panasonic drive. I have a 2012, 36 volt 12 amp system. That would give me masses of range alone.certainly 100 miles in Kallhoff frame. But the step change that produces the best range(and comfort) would be a move to a recumbent with the Panasonic. As aprox 90% of energy is used to...

    Kalkhoff handlebar controller compatibility

Mike Tillson might have a spare controller if you ask nicely. I bought a kalkoff pro with 26 volt system an no battery. I split the cost with Tillson and he had the motor and controller. I put the system from my bust BH race on it. Check Ebay etc for bike with duff battery,s

    Kalkhoff handlebar controller compatibility

Simon The alternative derestriction is to spoof the speed sensors. Flecc has photos of mine on his site on how to do this. The greater the higher the speed is set the more power it will draw so the range will fall. I like range and bionic cycling so mostly used them on low power. Despite being...

    Kalkhoff handlebar controller compatibility

Simon The physical swap is fairly easy? I don't know about the electic comparability? Why not de restrict your current bike? Personally I dodnt know if there is a big difference changing motors. the power increase would only have a small positive effect on top speed and hill climbing. But my 26...

Kalkoff s10 life out of a chain

You aren't doing a good job of upping the sale value of your second hand BH when you come to sell though. Mystified of Bristol

    best all rounder

Both systems have Shimano hub gear and 250 legal systems with 9 amp batteries. I suspect there is almost no differencs in road speed or range. The Ansmann has a longer warranty but £300 is useful. I think the grove F7 is the better bargin even outdoing whoosh.

Kalkoff s10 life out of a chain

I concur the BH should not eat chains at all? Chain is normally worn buy dust/grit in the joints carried in on lubricant. Or excess force on the chain. A new chain is prelubricated and should need no attention for 100's of miles other than wipe clean. Then if wet use oils or dry conditions use...

    Lack of chain wear

The other reason hub gears increase chain life is the chain can be heavy duty single speed not thin ultra light 10 Spd stuff.

    Upgrading Aurora

A realy good question. A buck/boost converter can provide variable voltage from a fixed supply. This could give you 10 volts and lots of amps for starting off and then 100 volt low current for high speed cruse... That is the theory anyway. The problems are efficiency and cost. The losses vary...

    Would you convert this bike?

Ben They cannot sell the bikes on max power as law states 250 watts! It's a manufacturers rating of 250 watts. The actual peak power can be over 750 watts? Enjoy the hills and have a happy new year

    Oxydrive kits

I would have cut outs as when you need to stop,, well you do. For cut outs reed switches and magnets are a simple addition.

    Oxydrive kits

Look for the 250 watt sticker. As long as you don't pass a policeman at 30 with your feet on the bars you should slip under the radar. Two accident scenarios spring to mind. 1 worse case a fatality. Then the bike is tested. Result is bad with no insurance and etc. 2 injury. Unless the bike is...
