I'm beginning to hate (some) cyclists

:DMy big smile yesterday was passing a moped. There is a flyover I can top at 20 then accelerate down . Was doing over 40 past a lass on a hair drier. She passed me after the lights on a hill soon after though.

Watching the tour average over 25 mph on sweat. We only get KOM,s with help. We should respect the Lycra. But perhaps there should also be respect for the over 50's who still get out and try despite the many limitations that we share between us. Electric bikes are Eco friendly and help people...

But then there is import duty and postal costs to include. And it's not a fully confirmed system or it wouldn't be kick starter material

Greetings Your page says 50 volt 10 amp battery. It then says 420 watt hours? That's not my simple understanding of batteries?

So do we get a factual description of the kit and why it is so special? So far it is a legal motor with good but not top rate watt per mile range. Why not buy the whoosh kit? For the record my highest speed with 250 watt Panasonic was around 45 mph on a run that used circa 7 watts per mile. At...

Whick Kalkhoff would you guys pick - £2k budget ?

The pro connect is nearly the fastest electric bike you can buy and use legally on the road. It's really much better than the Chinese bikes . For range and quality

    Rumbled

Y You are a very naughty boy. Let's hope you are not caught. I am not a proper cyclist having one big and one small wheel. And I am not currently using electric power assist. But I go faster than some, just joined the club to keep an eye on everyone But now they can confirm I go a bit fast at...

I'm in Bristol too. Currently using muscle power to get my KOM,s I find a legal bike slower than my recumbent. (As long as I avoid hills) Getting regular 27+kph 20 km runs now. I realy enjoy overtaking a Ferrari stuck in traffic on my regular route;-) Now joined. What's your name sunny jay jay?

D8veh has an excellent technical knowledge and has spotted a few shysters. When something new comes up we tend to be suspicious. There are a number of comment around. But many of us are very happy to see any real new advance to improve our bikes and like d8veh will be happy if this product is...

    Is It All About Power?

For assistance a rough gauge is 10watts per mile. So 26*10 =260watts or 26 miles on a good day with no wind or hills. Add wind and hills a larger cyclist, flat tires badly setup bike etc and it will have a flat battery before you are home. The larger 36 volt battery will give you a better range...

    New and nervous

I do regular 20 mile days. Am known as a cyclist and have only just hit the 1000 mile mark this year. But I am getting fitter and may do a few longer runs soon. Any over 20 mile runs are unusual. Regular over that are serious cycling time.

    New and nervous

If you are up for more than 10 miles each way I would have classed you as Lycra or a cyclist. Few people do more than 5 miles on a bike at all. Doing 20 miles a day is over 4,000 a year that is generally considered serious cycling. It must keep you fit.;)

    New and nervous

Well if you are going for the not fit and want a bike to get you around then the budget bike was a whoosh. Almost any bike will carry you 10 miles out and back. It's up to you what you want just remember to test the bike with the power turned off. Yes off to find out what it would be like with...

Test of pedelec vs road bike for long commute

Michael Tonight's 16.8km run had around 6km of filtering along and between stationary traffic. It took me 38 mins. I am getting fitter and faster just keep the cars out of the way. Only one changed lanes in front of me and about 4 difficult to pass. A couple of km at 15 instead of 25 kph I...

    Derestricting Sirocco CDL

There is a theoretical number of cycles a battery can take before it loses it's capacity. Normally quoted as 500 with 80% capacity left(I know that is a generalisation). Therefore if you use more power you need to recharge more often? But that is daly recharges for two years so not really likely...
