    A strange thing...

I was more thinking if you'd locked it up whilst out and about rather than in your garage !

    A strange thing...

This happened to me twice In my case it turned out a thief was"marking" bikes to steal later under cover of darkness hoping owners would leave them overnight a fix next day assuming a puncture. This was in my employers underground swipe card accessed car park during a week when the shutters...

Simple, effective and good looking safety feature

http://www.gizmag.com/lumen-retro-reflective-city-bike/31323/ What a great idea - just looks a like an understated dark grey/black finish Until a car headlight hits it and it reflects like 3m tape I'd buy that paint

    Best tyres for commuting

An alternative to marthaon plus that is my personal favourite is the continental travel contact. They roll faster and grip much better in the wet IMHO I run a conti on the front tyre and a marathon plus on rear. I'm about 5000 miles on both without issue. I cycle on usual potholes, glass...

    Alternative battery charger

The charger d8veh pointed out has three options for a connector but not that one Good news is it's very standard - you can pick one up from maplins, cut the wrong connector off and solder the right one on

Battery revival - how low is too low

Ok all series are above 3v I plugged BMS back in and put on main charger. Light indicates success in that it is charging so the BMS should have kicked in I'll slightly terrified though and it really is on charge at the end of garden under an old ceramic planter

Battery revival - how low is too low

That's correct f8veh I'm sure your right but I've not actually bought the bike yet Guy gave me the battery and charger If I can just make it work enough to test the bike that's enough before I part with cash

Battery revival - how low is too low

Thanks gringo I'm fully baby sitting in paranoid mode ! I want to get to a situation where all cells are up at a level where by I can let the BMS take over At that point it's going to be charging in the middle of the lawn on a long extension lead !

    Briefcase powerbank for camping etc

i find the 18650 booster pack dont sag too badly even on my bike which has a 17a controller but maybe thats becuase I use 6 x 2200mah cells for each 3.7vv block i.e my 11.1v booster pack is made of 18 cells and is around 13ah I've made two of these 13ah 11.1v boosters and have wired them with...

    Briefcase powerbank for camping etc

I think I have found a few invertors that shut down at 10v so no regulator required To d8veh point I intend to use in two ways 1) the battery feeds a 12v cigar socket to which I will plug in a usb adaptor that will charge usb devices 2) the invertor which will run bigger mains items eg laptop...
