Sounds just like trying to shop on a Saturday !

    Head to Head Collision.....Almost

Really sorry to hear about your 'head to head' ! Got off lightly by the sounds of it. Yeah - they can't force you to use those blooming paths alongside the roads - surfaces like an off-road trail, crossing traffic at every side road bringing you to a standstill, ipod-wearing pedestrians immune...

    NuVinci CVT (Automatic Gears) Hub

That's almost exactly what I felt after going to the NEC show. There was only one bike in there that convinced me to part with the eye-watering sum which followed the next day... and which when it arrived and I unpacked it, took one look and could not deny that it had as much 'presence' (albeit...

    NuVinci CVT (Automatic Gears) Hub

I thought you might go for it in the end. Really pleased you made a decision - and you've certainly done your homework to rationalize and understand your choices which is great. Well, nothing ventured nothing gained and in all honestly it sounds spot on for you both. Really interesting feedback...

!!!!! HELP me with my 26" Bafang Rear Wheel Build please !!!!!

If you need to charge regularly at the other end (i.e. if commuting) then I'd think about ordering a spare charger to leave it at work. They can be funny sometimes when being carried around too much - a bit like laptops. This is the one supplied with kits I believe ... (at least that's what I...

Electric or motor technie geek advice?

I had a similar thing when my speed sensor magnet mounted on a spoke got knocked out of alignment. Straightened it and all was fine. It's probably on one of the rear spokes but someone with a bike like yours will know if the speed sensor itself is OK. Check your brakes if it's like this when...

    Perfect day for riding

Unfortunately not - only 12 miles today. Got someone coming to stay tonight for a few days at short notice so had to combine my ride with bringing in supplies from the (relatively) local Wholefood centre . Was a good excuse to take time out though and not somewhere I've been going for...

    A real hill climber

^^ Does that translate to roughly 17% ? If so then yes, that's a potential breath-stealer. It's only 1/3 of a mile though so shouldn't get into lactic burn territory too easily.

Glad you can see the funny side - I'm pretty sure it was true Monty Python looking at those photos :) :o

!!!!! HELP me with my 26" Bafang Rear Wheel Build please !!!!!

The combo is a good one - very good at hill climbing too. The CST is 270rpm which is very similar and this gobbles up 1.5 miles of sustained >20% uphill gradient with the sort of pedal effort that in no way leaves me sweating profusely and out of breath at the top on 36V. That sort of motor...

    Will these roundabouts catch on?

I agree - I get in the right hand lane and hug the roundabout if I'm turning right whatever the cycling arrangement is. Cars get very wary of cyclists on roundabouts themselves - unfortunately the same cannot be said for when you're approaching them and trying to cross the lanes of traffic. I...

    Perfect day for riding

Perfect day for riding today. Not a cloud in the sky. Proper ride out on a flattish route following my software update and really happy. The Sport profile is perfect for me - and the wheel's holding up nice and strong (fingers crossed now :) ), so no more power sagging - or gears slipping - and...

!!!!! HELP me with my 26" Bafang Rear Wheel Build please !!!!!

You have my FULL sympathy too. I have an idea how you must feel. I had just got mine finally ready to test on road after weeks of setbacks, made a silly mistake and severed the cable to my motor. right by the axle after not tightening the bolt up. Wound up rewiring the whole f*****g thing and...

    Endeavour BS10 400Wh

They look to be decent bikes. Someone on here recently bought one but a full review is pending I think. I really fancied the Endeavour as a regular non-eBike, equipped with the Rohloff 14sp hub gears. I really wish they'd kept them on the eBike version. The bike itself is lovely and if money...

I have a brand new bike...

It did seem very keenly tuned ... and was really nice to get that performance off a PAS system. I did wonder whether that 350W motor on it was actually restricted to be completely honest. It's a bike I'd happily take for a long test ride.

    Lycra Louts Warning

Ah ... I've heard Cheltenham is supposed to have a few dodgy areas. But I'm sure it has its bad points too ;) Hackney and Brixton used to be regular Saturday nights out for me till the wee small hours until quite recently and I have to confess I never felt unsafe or had any bother there. I...

    Lycra Louts Warning

B***dy hooligans. Gloucester is somewhat prone to less than courteous sorts at the best of times Bill. I tend to be somewhat more on my guard there than many places - and take extra security for the bike ! Sport cycling is sport cycling and normal riders are not expected to adhere to club riding...

Anyone done a Software Update on Agattu C11 Impulse

Got the service unit today. Unfortunately wasn't able to get to it till this evening. But after a quick flick through the instructions and manual it was dead easy. I'd spotted that bag under the motor cover when it was upside down a few times so knew where it was. I think there's a large bolt in...
