I desoldered a bunch of wires off my controller and they have the 2-pin connectors on (albeit only 1 pin in use on each of them) ... likely just a case of moving a wire/pin from one pair to another to make a 2-wire if that's any help. Never did understand that 3-speed switch ! I remember plugging it in to the controller at the start to try it with the throttle connected but it didn't seem to generate the outputs expected as far as measured speed are concerned. Figured maybe it didn't really work with my controller / motor combo.
