Thru Axle or Quick Release and Brake Types for Front Hub Drives

West Wales. Discs. The Ezee, whole system is much more powerful and quieter. There is a mod suggested for the Panda controller, involves soldering out a portion of the shunt to up the max current. Yet to get round to it.

Thru Axle or Quick Release and Brake Types for Front Hub Drives

I have an Ezee front hub on a Carrera crossfire. Upped the front disc to a 160mm but still the adjuster, for the inner shoe, on the Lyra caliper hides behind the flange of the motor, making adjustment 'tricky'. Still, mech discs front and back work well even downhill with panniers full of...

    Dewalt 20v x 6 Electric Bicycle Part 1

O.K. I'm humbled, the guy's an artist. That's the kind of design imagination and styling that's needed to bring E.V.'s to the main stream. And exactly what I lack.

Absolutely, with knobs on. Big blue flash and hot stuff everywhere.

    Dewalt 20v x 6 Electric Bicycle Part 1

Wait! So this guy's gone out and bought 6 Dewalt torches, giving himself all sorts of headaches, to replace his bike battery? Why?

    Joining batteries together ?

Yeh, you would need to check that it's a 'break before make' switch to ensure that two batteries, at different voltages, could never be accidently connected together.

Oh dear! Just turned the 'phone on to have another re-thought go at it and the screen has just gone whiteout. Only way I can turn it off now is to take the battery out.:oops: Just looked at the sites return conditions and they need my e bay ID, I don't think I have one as I bought it as...

    Bike computer

You see, I was quite 'appy with me OS map folded up and mounted in the purpose built plastic folder on top of my Carradice handlbar box, thought I was the beezneez. Then I fell for the siren call of the gizmo and, despite luddite leanings, got sucked into this maelstrom of techy gobbledegook...

Well, I've got as far as downloading OSManD, which seems to start but is then telling me there is not enough external storage. So I've assumed that it needs an HD card, so I've ordered a micro SD card and hope that does the trick.

Asked a 14 year old today and he answered in words of more than one sylable. However still no joy. I'm going to try fitting a micro SD card.

Well there you go. When it stops raining I shall be on the bike and up to the hills for a giant freakin scream of 'techstration'. That's the new gizmo inspired version of frustration. There a new word. We had one the other day, when she who must had the cat on her lap. She said I'd got to...

Thanks Dave, that sounds like all I need. Can't find it though, think a visit to the local geek may be on the cards.

Thanks Dan. I'm totally new to this smart 'phone thing and so far I'm running round in circles. I will be using it without a sim and I assumed that on board storage would be enough. Have tried to download both the apps you mention but I think I may need a memory card for the 'phone. So, for...

    Cyclotricity kit

The forks are Suntour NVX 60mm travel. They're aluminium and the dropout thickness is approx 12mm. As to the crank, I have no idea. However you can see the whole conversion here: http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/converting-a-carrera-crossfire3.21965/

    Cyclotricity kit

Here's how I fitted it to the Carrera with a home made bracket courtesy of D8veh's suggestion. The bracket has two rightangle tabs that fit onto the caliper posts.

    Cyclotricity kit

It means that you should fit something like this: http://cyclezee.com/cyclezee-torque-arms.html Also make sure you're dropouts are deep enough. Mine on the Crossfire were fine so don't think you'll have a problem. Enjoy the fit.

    Hi from Elgin Scotland

Not much between them Andy. The controller on the Ezee is a 20A, I think the Big Bear is too. The BB is a 26" wheel whereas my conversion is a 700c. What this means is that the Ezee outspeeds the BB on the flat (setting for setting), however on the hills the BB will slowly outstrip the Ezee...
