It sounds like possibly mosfet thermal cut out as the bike works some time later on, but the thermal cut out issue is usally caused by slow riding drawing high current. Have you tried riding a route with out cobbles to see if the cut outs stop ?

My hub of choice at the mo is my front Bafang G370, a gem of a small motor with good power. My past best motors are AKM128C and Bafang CST , both I still have in built wheels and keepers for future use.

Front wheel easier to fit (usually) , rear needs dropouts filed. Front wheel can slip if a powerful one . Front ideally needs to be in steel forks and with no supsension.

Replace the battery in your meter , this it is a false reading one can expect with tired battery that is no good. Typically a 48v battery will be 40v to 54.6v , I would expext a battery to arrive at about 50 - 60% chargeso about 48/49v.

Flatish terrain I manage 30 - 35miles form my bespoke HG2 12s/2p , 6ah/264wh battery. Albeit I only use PAS1 and approx. 58 - 65w of power. Wind , tyre psi and general riding ability and fintness above speed cut off will determine range.

Ladder tied lashed at top to tree. 5 ton rachet strap used to tie around large sections being cut and tied off lower down . Down on the ground one can safely lower the sections . It is method and working safe that is important, rushing gets one nowhere.
