A link or two would assist the panel. Go on then, as you are new: https://www.e-bikeshop.co.uk/Haibike-xDuro-All-Mtn-RC-2015...

It's not just us who argue about power levels.

And someone else is paying the electricity bill.

Been reported for Riding without a license and no insurance

Poor, but perhaps understandable, treatment from the cop on the path. Your bike looks like an electric moped. You correctly told the copper it's an ebike in terms of power and speed. But in such circumstances, the last person the copper is going to take that from is the rider.

    Hi all :)

Apart from it turning brown in the autumn - all Leafs do that.

Looking to buy Specialised Turbo. Can i have it re flashed?

John, The waiver, while a bit over dramatic, was not daft. As I said, possession/sale of the modded bike is not illegal. The waiver, presumably saying the buyer would not use the bike illegally, does offer the dealer extra protection. Not that the dealer needs it.

Where can I get a gear sensor for my Woosh Krieger bike

John, I was tempted to be flippant and tell you to learn to change gear properly. But I see you already have. I can't seen the point of trying to make the bike idiot proof when you are not an idiot.

    BikeBiz story about eBikes.

From a purely campaigning/PR point of view, I think Col's tactics are poor. By raising the temperature in the way he has, he is increasing the chances of a ban happening, which he doesn't want. I respect the stance he takes - it's his right and I can see some sense in it, although for this...

Looking to buy Specialised Turbo. Can i have it re flashed?

Col, The protection for the retailer is possession of the modified bike is not illegal, only use of it. Thus it is not illegal or any risk to the dealer to sell/mod the bike. I'm sure some of your dealers can race prep a KTM motorbike. Are they all living in fear of the customer choosing to...

Looking to buy Specialised Turbo. Can i have it re flashed?

You'd be surprised, most decent bike shops know how to do things, but also know that just because it can be done... doesn't mean it should be. Especially when it comes to risking your business. Most dealers are useless at anything even slightly complex when it comes to ebikes. There is no...

    which Woosh

The Gale is a standard Chinese folder. Similar bikes for similar money are available elsewhere, although woosh would be a decent place to buy it because there is after sales support. The Zephyr is the nicer bike, well worth the extra money, assuming you have the extra money. It is likely to...

Giant Road E +1 - Anyone know of it?

You train and race on a road bike which means any ebike will be a very odd experience for you. You may not like it, and a standard restricted one would slow you down. Before looking at specific bikes, I think you need to try a couple of ebikes to see what you make of them. There are not many...

    Tannus tyres

I've read generally positive - but still mixed - reports of Tannus tyres. No doubt they are light years ahead of previous solid tyres which were all but useless on anything other than a wheelbarrow. Reducing grip as they wear is a concern. Old style solid tyres used to hammer rims and spokes...

Are e-bikes with an off-road switch legal to ride on UK roads under 15.5mph?

Another good point. I like to have a clean, well maintained bike, but I don't especially like cleaning or maintaining it. Bosch bikes suit me well, but others may enjoy fettling so will get on equally well with a Chinese conversion.
