you know there is so much free and empty land up here in the hills and the bogs . It would never be easy, but I wonder sometimes about the cities and the people in them. I was there myself once (and have to say it was good- no hill people!):)

    Urban Mover - Not moving

Good idea D8veh, I'm sure the 4 wire connection is for a throttle with LED. Bill, I have a spare throttle and bog standard pedal sensor, both new which I do not need and could send quickly.. Maybe you should try that before write off the motor.

Ok, so your controller is getting all the right signals, either the brake connections are shorting or the Klingons have targeted your controller with a tractor beam?:(

    Urban Mover - Not moving

I was working on a UM24 the other day, swapped the old NMH battery for 36v lithium. The controller is capable of running at 24/36/48v but also had a throttle connection and this was fitted. It was just an ordinary 3 wire throttle but oddly took two or three seconds to get the power down. So if...

Soon there will be no need for wheels on ebikes

Actually this is a very clever device designed to increase worker productivity through cunning insertion into the trousers, apparently already scheduled to be integrated in standard issue Honda boilersuits at the Swindon plant shortly, with the aim of restoring parity with Honda's Asian...

    Tonaro owners unite !

I hope that you will like and enjoy the bike in the same way as I have mine. If like myself you are never entirely content with bike or world, then there are numerous possibilities available to alter either. The Tonaro responds well to higher power levels making it both nippy and snappy offroad...

    Tonaro owners unite !

Indeed your Majesty, the tool you require is known in the street as a crochet grabberhook though I'm sure Funkylyn can give you the more proper technical term as defined by the venerable WRI (crochet division.) Of course for the working man a coathanger will generally do. The three wire...

    New to Electric Bikes

Hi trailbear and welcome. After the initial excitement of the purchase decision you are left with a bike and an electric motor. With the amount of mileage you are up against best get a good one of both. The bigger the hub motor the more powerful it will be. A crank drive can be smaller but still...

    Throttles and more power....

hullo again Mark, one of the reasons I recommended Tonaro is for the ease of modification. Alot of people buy ebikes and then decide that it would be nice to go a little faster, but in most instances a larger battery is required and another couple of hundred quid. So if you know what you are...
