Horses for courses really. I've opted out of the helmet club but if I had to choose ? 1/. A military helmet, designed against impact from things traveling around 2000 mph. (Shrapnel from a dynamite explosion) 2/. A cycle helmet, designed against you traveling around 10 mph and hitting the ground.

Bulging cells = soon to be dead cells. I've been using RC lipos for years and when they puff up its a sign there on there last legs, chemically breaking down. Caused by either to high a discharge rate or physical damage. I'd send pictures to Hobbyking ASAP requesting a replacement and asking...

I'm no expert but I've found that if you have hard pads then the wheel rim will wear instead, you can't have it both ways. These days I don't have any breaking issues as I only use disc breaks :p

Unless you already have a dedicated lipo charger D8veh is correct, it's easier & cheaper to buy off the shelf. The only way to charge lithium cells is with a lithium charger, no other charger will do.

I use Lithium ion & Lithium polymer cells and any suitable charger will control the charging cycle. Something like this dose a lot more than you need but I'm sure you'll find a use for it in the future...
