Childseat on a Giant Twist Lite 2?

The WeeRide looks better anyway, having the child in front of you where you can keep an eye in him/her. EDIT: And i see no reason it wouldn't fit.

    New bikes!

Yesterday my dad and i popped down to 50cycles in Lougborough to collect two new Kalkhoffs. We then took them directly to the Monsal Trail in the Peak District for a quick shakedown run. The bikes performed faultlessly and even climbed the short very steep gravel hill from Blackwell Mill Cycle...

    Haibike Xduro Race

It's the 45kmh S pedelec which is illegal in this country, however the Kalkhoff BS10 is sold here with the same capability, so maybe, if Haibike are willing to sell it here. Best to speak to the Haibike dealers.

    Kettle-plug power connector alternatives?

Also Deans are what the majority of RC folk use, they're just rock solid reliable.

    2014 KTM Macina cross

I dont like the new paint scheme, and the small chainring on the new Bosch system looks very odd to me, although the ground clearance is much better.

    Pedelec Riders Club of Britain

Not really, that's a single thread, hard to follow due to its size. An actual sub-forum would be much more useful. For example here is such a sub-forum at a motorcycle site i visit. Events, Meets, Ride outs etc

    Defeated by a hill

I never lock my forks out, unless you're standing up mashing the pedals it makes no noticeable difference, even with soft long travel mountain bike forks.

    Pedelec Riders Club of Britain

A good idea. A couple of years ago I suggested an "events, meets and rides" sub-forum, as that's what a lot of other forums have. It didn't happen though.

    Smart Bike

That frame design is always going to be heavy, if you lose the diamond frame you have to add material to keep it stiff. Trying to fix something that isn't broken for the sake of aesthetics, a bad idea.

Dodgy- risk taking-brave act, but can be tried at home.

It should be fine, you charger plug will be fused anyway.

    Cycling under the rain

And the trouble with basic waterproofs is they don't allow your sweat to escape and seem to promote condensation as soon as you generate some body heat inside them. You end up wet inside, despite them not leaking. High end breathables are a little better, but they still suffer from this effect.

Full suspension electric 29er, the first one of those i've seen. That's very very interesting.

Volt Metro folding ebike on ebay

The auction ends today, fingers crossed it makes a good price!

    E-bike design could be integrated.

Hmm, I'm not sure, I race RC cars and the reason we keep space between the motors and controllers is so that they both get plenty of airflow to stay cool. Putting two hot things together isn't a great idea. As for automatic transmissions, haven't we already got better than that with the NuVinci...

Newbie - what e-bike to buy?

The Agattu runs quite large, so i'm sure you'll be fine with that, i'm 6'1" and about the same weight and i was fine on the 55cm, so either that or the 60cm should be ok for your height. 50cycles were great for my test rides, i took out three bikes back to back.

Did you know Raleigh are offering £100 Discount off their Ebikes for August ?

Not sure how you come to this conclusion, the 26v panasonic motored one is £2k, whereas you can get a Kalkhoff Agattu with the superior 36v Impulse crank motor for the same price. I thought they were overpriced.

    Kudos cobra

That's where i tried the Arriba, there's a good hill in Penrith for testing which Pete will be able to direct you to.
