    Aerial cycle highways

Agreed, also this would attract cycle tourists, i'd spend more time in London if i had these to ride on. Probably a lot more than the two weekends a year i spend now.

    Cycling safer in Spain?

My girlfriend is Greek, and due to the insanity of the driving there she never even learnt to ride a bike until she moved to the UK to live. She seems to think we're the most considerate drivers she's ever seen.

Dutch Bosch and bike blog show battery internals and a Neoprene Battery Cosy

Very interesting, it's just a load of 18650 batteries inside there, and they look like they could be easily replaced with higher capacity ones, and as he states, with the best 3400mah panasonic batteries you'd get 490wh. Not a huge increase, but looks like a viable option once the batteries get...

New Bosch 2014 kit officially announced!..

I do wish they would release a bigger battery, 15ah would be great on the Bosch system.

Wisper 905se City S for sale

Sold it last night :-( Mine was two and a half years old, I believe the new ones are completely different, despite looking similar. There were no options for mine. It was a brilliant bike though. I will miss it, at least until it's replacement arrives!

    Derailleur problem

Dc may be right, however I'd try taking the derailleur off, clean it thoroughly, soak in motor oil overnight and reassemble with a new cable. Also worth checking the shifter is working, you can easily do this with the new cable before you thread it into the new outer. IMO, it's well worth...

Bosch Intuvia USB take off! What can I power

5v 500mah is the USB standard, so it should charge anything that charges off a normal USB socket. Pretty much any phone, although it ads and tablets require higher charging rates in some circumstances. Worth noting the Nexus 7 doesn't... Big screen gps mapping? :-)

Go Faster Dongles! Here's another to consider

Do these take the limit off the S models with 350 watts? May seem pointless, but it would be of interest what speed people can get from it, seeing as the 250 watt can be made near as fast as the 350 anyway.

    Derailleur problem

First thing to do when setting a derailleur up is to disconnect the cable and set the high screw to line up directly under the high gear and the low screw directly under the low gear. Then connect the cable with no slack in it so that the chain stays put in the smallest cog. Following that...

New Bosch 2014 kit officially announced!..

I always take these roadsters wattage outputs with a pinch of salt. 800w, from a 70kg rider on an 8kg bike and he'd be pushing 40 on the flat, but they don't, they cruise around 28, which is what the 350 speed Bosch will do with fairly minimal rider input, even with 105kg of me on a 20kg bike. I...

New Bosch 2014 kit officially announced!..

Having recently tested the Tonaro Compy back to back with a Bosch 2012 equipped BH Emotional Xenon 700, the Bosch went up the same hill, 10kph faster with less effort.

    Carrying stuff / Panniers

These for me, i dont want to have to worry about things getting wet. I have previously had Ortlieb and they're great, but very expensive. Revolution Adventure Welded Panniers

So I've tried a few but still confused

I looked at the LPGA too, it looks very high quality, and quite sporty in my opinion. The only issue for me was that it's £400+ more expensive than similar bikes.

    Broken chain drama!

Also worth having powerlinks in case you rip off a derailleur, you can shorten the chain and turn it into a singlespeed to get you home. Brilliant little things.

    Broken chain drama!

Ive had two snap on me in the last fifteen years or so. Cant complain too much, though like yours there was no apparent reason for it. I always carry a couple of SRAM powerlinks in my toolkit just in case.

Crank drive comparisons - Impulse .v. Bosch .v. Panasonic

I've seen a guy in Manchester riding trails with an old GT STS (a £3k bike in the 90's!) fitted with a 1000w Golden motor, yet i followed him for a few miles and he never did over 12mph, whereas plenty of roadies were tearing down the trail over 20mph. The ability to go fast doesn't mean you...
