    Side Stand needed.

Just fitted one of these on my hybrid frame yesterday, all steel construction, just needed a bit of fettling to fit. the legs are plenty long enough, hoicking the wheel 10mm off the floor, so much so that I am considering splaying the legs a little for greater stability. I did have an alu bodied...

Getting me, my child and 4 bottles of beer up a mountain!

Re the OP and the beer, drink it before you set off then you don't have to carry it up the mountain. I haul a trailer full of shopping etc up to my house with a bbs01b, a 42t front cog and 34t rear lowest cog no problem.

Unplugging the battery BRICKS this device; you MUST go back to the manufacturer

So girls are too soft and incompetent to do a little maintenance? How gallant of you. Perhaps there is an opportunity, for the black oil mark phobic and the incompetent, Roadside Recovery and Maintenance for cyclists. On the other hand, when assessing the risk, what is the likelihood of the...

Unplugging the battery BRICKS this device; you MUST go back to the manufacturer

Why put people off mid motors. Just promote the carrying of a couple of links of chain. Certainly anyone who has fitted their own will be competent to sort a broken chain by the side of the road.

A trailer for ebike or non ebike towing.

I use a redundant dog trailer, dog passed away a few years ago. I keep thinking about removing the cover and putting a flat bed and sides on it, just can't find my box of round tuits.

Help! Mid-drive conversion, losing those front gears.

I have 7 speed 13 / 34 on the back, with 42t on front. Bbs01b came with a 46, not enough low end grunt for some bits of local bridleways and tracks. It can fly along at 25mph top if I up the speed limit. Altering other settings like Keep Current and setting the throttle to Current Control made a...

    Solar trailer build

A better idea might be a large roof with a gutter, the rain water then driving a turbine, suitably geared. The added benefit is you would stay dry.

Not a great start with e-bikes. Chain continually jumps off the front sprocket.

I had the chain jump problem, bought a little gubbins that fits where a front changer would, not happened since. I've also read that the old front changer can be left on and the stops adjusted so it keeps the chain in line.

    Protective wear

Skateboard wrist supports are good, but they would interfere with your grip and control.

    Unavoidable Bicycle Badger Collision

My go to unction, as well as ibrufen jelly, comfrey ointment, comfrey aka knitbone, has been used on strains and sprains for years. A comfrey poultice is good but not as convenient.

    Electric bike Cost

Would cost per hour travelling give a better comparable view ? I've thought about this with my outboard powered narrowboat - a honda 20hp burning circa 1 ltr an hour at 3mph. My 15ltr tank lasts 3 days cruising. Easily burnt up in a day with the car, while travelling further.

    advice for £1000 emtb build

I already had a donated hybrid, fitted with a cheap pair of sprung forks. Works a treat with the bafang mid drive on tracks and trails. I fitted a 42t front ring to cope with the hilly bits. I would have liked disc brakes but the v brakes are ok.
