    KT kit PAS configuration

Typically for DL PAS one uses C1/00 for 5 poles , 01 for 8 poles, 02 for 10 poles and 03 for 12 poles if it works.

Chances of marrying a Swytch front wheel with a Yose (Lishui) controller.

I think the lishui is more plug and play and basic vs the KT brand, the Lishui I think may simply just work. The only pole count with kits are usually magnet count for the PAS .

    KT kit PAS configuration

That's a simple one , your PAS gap is far to a large. The magnets need to be within < 1mm of the sensor head, then one should see the LED blink on/off. I would try using C1/02 but often those 12 pole discs don't work to well sometimes, your sensor looks like the more basic DL series and one...

Any update/experience on alternate battery and controller options to use with Swytch front wheel ? ( eg. Geeko)

With KT there is very little to program, a few settings may need changing but all depends on the motor used and the PAS sensor type. If you were to have any setting issues we can usually sort them out .

Woosh starts shipping Tongsheng TSDZ8 with 250W label

One would expect the EN15194 to be 48v nominal and not max as the max figure is stupid one that makes no sense , who builds and uses 11s ?

    charging up battery

It depends on the BMS's lvc, a 36v battery though can generally be taken down to 30 - 33v . When I buy or build a new battery I always take it down to lvc once just to know the lowest cut out voltage in use, the voltage usually rebounds a little higher as well . Typically though there is...

    Recelled battery voltage query

The Sanyo 18650BL 3350mah cell ( Sanyo is owned by Panasonic) should be a better cell then theSam 29e 2900mah cell, one may just have to give it a f ew charge discharges to see how it performs first. If it doesn't live up to the Sam29e then contact Ebike batteries with your concerns and...

    Recelled battery voltage query

Ebikebatteries are a reputable company , we have spoken of them often on the forum and I along with many others have used their services. So no issues there with reptuability. I went took my battery box and picked up my battery when it had been re-celled from Jimmy the owner a few years ago.

    charging up battery

I charge my 44v battery to its 50.4v max and often only charge again when down to it's nom voltage of 44v or a bit lower for local use. Quite a lot of my local usage are only 4 mile trips.

    Recelled battery voltage query

Your first reading must have been faulty or wrong, often one gets this when a meter's battery is old . It is not possible for a charger to charge an ebike battery form 21v to 42v in 15 mins so something is a miss with the voltage measurement. How does the capacity of the re-cell compare to...

DFT consultation on increase of 250W limit to 500W

Raising the rated power to 500w wouldn't make much different to power usage as most bikes can output that or more currently , it possibly could make a dent in the DD market ? One can get approx. 800w motor output from an AKM 128c with a 22a controller or nearly 1kw with a 25a controller.

DFT consultation on increase of 250W limit to 500W

The AKM 128c is marked 250w I believe for OEM customer Wisper but non OEM are marked 500w, it would then bring non OEM in to the legal category for UK use. Users though will need to be careful not to get caught out esp if they take bikes abroad to use as the EU will be 250w rated only for...

DFT consultation on increase of 250W limit to 500W

A 500w EAPC battery will be no different to that which is used for 250w, the main issue is having a battery that whose current output is matched for the controller rating.
