Help with my first conversion kit.

The Kirby 250w kit is legal , one may have to think about the throttle option if it doesn't have a pedal first option but otherewise the kit is 250w and adheres to EPAC law. The kit uses a KT controller so any speed nonsense spoken of is all governed by the setting in the LCD, even my KT...

As I said all they know is they look the same and fit the male parts fine , thye have little knowledge otherwise. You have cut the plug off the throttle , do the same for the controller and join the wires and test without shorting any. Once working slide a bit of shrink on , solder each wire...

Disabled cyclist; with one bad choice behind her, needs help with a new bike

A Wisper Tailwind might work it is a bit lighter , though one needs to test ride for fit and operational use so a visit to a dealer or 7oaks in Kent is needed . It will be fruitless without trying any such bike . A Wisper can be 100% legal with a fully operational throttle if tested as such...

Disabled cyclist; with one bad choice behind her, needs help with a new bike

The lady rider in question has already mentioned her health issues and lack of leg stamina , we have already duduced that the torque multipliers are no good for her and the fact she currently has a similar app controlled bike confirms that.

Case studies - how has your electric bike changed your life?

Most LBS only sell mid drive bikes and will sell anything to get a sale, I doubt if many are too bothered if it suits an individuals needs.

Disabled cyclist; with one bad choice behind her, needs help with a new bike

For a hub bike one should be looking at 48v , though Wisper have the new 43v bike which approx. give 18-20% more torque/power then 36v bikes. One could convert a lighter bike and use a BBS01 as guereny has done and use it tuned to max power so that you can pedal is easier or better still us...

Disabled cyclist; with one bad choice behind her, needs help with a new bike

The issue today vs 10 years go is that ebikes are being sold by every body and choosing the better bike for ones needs is getting harder . Typically Wipser and Woosh don't sell you just any old bike because that is the stock they have , they are better then that and will sell you the bike that...

Disabled cyclist; with one bad choice behind her, needs help with a new bike

We tend to recommend the reliable brands ( often ones not familiar with public as they are specalist e bike brands only) these brands are amonsgt the oldest supplied brands available and with the great CS they are known for, but not main stream names that most people will have heard of...

    bike mirrors

Most sellers don't know the difference between Higo an Julet connectors, all they likely know is they are a like and are compatible when fitted . Afaik know and from my usage both connectors are wired different so simply don't work when connected.

Disabled cyclist; with one bad choice behind her, needs help with a new bike

Typically the lightest bike may be a small folder type around 20 - 22kg. The newer style designed Wisper Wyfarer step thru bikes are still a heavy 26 - 28 kg in weight. The Wisper Tailwinds are a bit lighter 21 kg - 22kg but they have a slightly different low crossbar design, a halfway bewteen...

Disabled cyclist; with one bad choice behind her, needs help with a new bike

A Brompton or converted Brompton is about the lightest one may get for your needs. You want something to ride that is beyond your physical fitness/ health to ride, so a minimalist input bike is out of the question. As you have found, the Crusa is an ideal bike but too heavy biased to the rear...

The only two wires that matter are Black & Red , mate them to the corresponding wires on the controller side. The White is the signal wire the opposing third wire may be any colour they choose to use.

Disabled cyclist; with one bad choice behind her, needs help with a new bike

The lighterweight bike you want really only exists with specialalist bikes for the fitter more able rider , typically these use small batteries (range extenders for the fit rider who needs a tiny bit of help) and smaller lighter motors . These motors will be often a torque multiplier system for...

Disabled cyclist; with one bad choice behind her, needs help with a new bike

Forget any special or fancy motors or bikes , also forget about torque sensing bikes none are suiatble for riders with stamina , weak leg muscles or lung/copd/ breathing issues. The only real motor type is to keep it basic so a high torque hub motor and a throttle, a system that uses simple...

E00 is a comms error, so controller is not communicating with the display correctly. E021 is torque sensor error could be wiring or sensor. Inokim light motor not spinning

One needs to do some more homework. Only one Hall sensor is needed for speed calculation, though a motor may use more then one magnet to sense the speed. Three Hall sensors are used for sensored motors but your as indicated is a non sensored motor.
