    Tesco Hopper front wheel replacement

Avocet huh? I had a cheap mountain bike from them that ran for years with nothing replaced. They make decent stuff. Much better than falcon which was my first e bike (made by nakto). Absolute crap

Knocking and grinding sound from hub motor?

Ok that does sound like something has broken that's rather loud. Still to rule it out check the connections as I find that to be odd with brand new innards. Is the hub casing dented or damaged in any way?

Knocking and grinding sound from hub motor?

A bad hall connection can cause these symptoms, check that it is all plugged in properly and clean and dry. It will most likely be a 5/6 wire plug where the controller goes. What bike is it?

    Tesco Hopper front wheel replacement

Being a 24v system it may be hard to find one in the UK, try aliexpress or BMS battery. It won't be cheap so may be time for an upgrade? Before you write it off though check all the connections as it might just be a simple loose wire or something like that. Is there any juddering from the motor?

You want a rear that covers the whole top of the tyre, otherwise you get spray up your back. Front is less important, I just run one of those cable tie ones on the front, on the rear I have a zefal no mud which keeps most of it at bay. Between December and February you want to think about having...

Use platform pedals, the kind that you see on BMX and jump bikes. They grip my work boots and trainers just fine. I use degbit lights from eBay they are about 10 quid, usb rechargeable and bright enough to see in total darkness. You can have a secure lock or a light lock, not both. That said...

    Rockrider emtb

Probs the dumping tax or inflation kicking in. Seems a good rival, better fork but mechanical disks, suppose those are cheaper to upgrade than a fork. Comes with some beefy tyres, would like to know who manufactured the hub. Probs doesn't suffer cutouts either.

    Rockrider emtb

Just spotted this today browsing a decathlon store, seems to be a direct rival to the Halfords Vulcan and is arguably better looking. https://www.decathlon.co.uk/e-st500-electric-mtb-black-id_8487238.html

    27.5 studs

That was the plan anyway, do I need to drill starter holes?

    27.5 studs

I like to use studs in the winter to avoid certain death. Had a shop around and they are rather expensive for 27.5 Then I noticed some self install studs on AliExpress, anyone tried fitting these before? I have a few old tyres I can defile

    Selling and Buying Second-hand e-bikes

Truthfully it's only worth selling something if it's seen its useful life or doesn't get used as everything has such a huge loss even months into its purchase. Sellers expect too much, buyers expect something brand new for the cost of a McDonald's. Therefore I try to make full use of everything...

    Carrera crossfire/vulcan tuning

Just a heads up. The cutout fault still exists with new controller. This confirms that the BMS is tripping somehow. It's infrequent enough on mine not to bother me though

fitting new batterry mount plate cyclamatic p plus

Is the slide assembly the same? If it's functional you could just keep it for now. If not yeah crank extractors are pretty generic. Be careful with these tools, as once I pulled the threads off rather than the crank and had to resort to a hammer. Alternatively you could buy what's called an...

    KT-LCD3 Throttle Abnormality - error code 01

Probs just a dry solder joint on the board inside. As you are getting a new one anyway might be worth having a look inside

Clean the connections up. Check all wires. Does pedal assist work?
