    DNP Epoch Freewheels..and gearing question

Came across another 10sp freewheel here : Freewheels - Hi-Power Cycles: High Power Electric Bikes, MTB's, ATV's, Go carts So is there often a problem fitting these 9sp / 10sp freewheels into a regular frame with a rear hub motor ?

Home-made power strip for multiple tapping

Guess you can bond different connectors together to form a strip so long as the contacts are properly seated within the strip solder and they're decently glued together at the sides. I already have some spare Deans from the original controller setup but rest of power strip can be made up of...

KTM Macina dual hs - the eagle has landed!!

I bet you don't get that speed walking it up a slope. I hardly ever use my walk-assist but try getting it to power the bike up a steep hill and there's no chance of reaching more than a crawl without pushing it - if anything ! Never judders tho'.

Decent weatherproof inline sockets which are waterproof when uncoupled

Thanks Geebee. Yeah that makes sense and a good idea. A few very good looking ones at no more than those SPEC ones ... but not really much less, it has to be said, when you buy 3 plugs (one to seal off as a cap) and pay the postage. These ones looked OK : Deutsch DT Series ... but I got...

Home-made power strip for multiple tapping

Came across this tonight. They say if you search long enough & all that .... Power strip made out of Deans connectors. Put together by some RC guys for their Lipos, but equally suitable for running multiple circuits off your bike battery I'd have thought :- RC Groups - View Single Post -...

Decent weatherproof inline sockets which are waterproof when uncoupled

I've got pretty much all available space slots taken up already Old_Dave and all the fittings already in hand for those slots, without starting to spoil the 'line' of my box. Really looking for the inline option on this one - as it's the last one (always the worst !). It's only a 27W light...

If ebikes are "green", this would be doubly so.

I was in stitches watching him try to solder those XC60 connectors on. Please for the love of god don't watch that as an instructional video on how to fit connectors ... unless it's how not to go about a soldering job ! I'd love to watch him try to hook up a mini-XLR .....

Decent weatherproof inline sockets which are waterproof when uncoupled

.... that was a bit of a mouthful () but basically - looking for some. Would be grateful for recommendations. I'm looking for some good quality ones that can be well capped off when uncoupled. Here's an example of the sort of thing, which is part of a hardwire Samsung phone charger...

    Converting a "Fatty"

It would probably do but if it were me and you want a rear hub motor I'd pop a low 201rpm bafang 500W motor on it due to the size of the rims. Ought to be a decent climber then I'd have thought. Only downside is having to swap out for a freewheel. It'd be far nicer with a CST if they came with...

    Lidl gadgets next Thursday .

Just pop a set of earbud headphones in under there with a mic on them. No need to get undressed to take a phone call ! Bet that was a sight for sore eyes - massive helmet and skin tight shorts. The only lycra rider in the village ? Where's Myfanwy when you need her .... You're a braver man...

    Converting a "Fatty"

Still think the fatty bikes deserve a mid-mount hub motor. Like a Crystalite ?? Does that rules out hub gears ? But they won't fit the frame design I don't think.

    Converting a "Fatty"

Hub gears sound like a good option to explore. Wonder if the Nuvinci would be compatible ? Reckon with a higher powered motor Rohloff 14-sp also an option ... but they are so much more expensive than any other hub gears it's a hard pill to swallow. I like the idea of a mid-drive motor like...

    Finally.

That's a decent looking bike spec. It's what you'd expect of all high-end ready-built bikes but very rarely see. In Wimbledon though - definitely the Chelsea Tractor of the bike range. Bike like that definitely should be caked in mud out on a remote trail - hope you've got some fitting rides...

Took the plunge and now bought my first e-bike!!

Blooming heck. That's a bonkers way of running a country. No wonder Smokey & the Bandit were always hot-tailing it to the state border lol.

    Converting a "Fatty"

Like. Lots. Come on then, let's have a review and your plans for the Moonlander. Full-sus bikes tickle some peoples' fancies but that one has me stopped dead in my tracks.. Whatever you do, build the battery into the triangle and get it boxed in completely. With a black Glosstex...

Running additional circuits off main battery

Just remembered this ... The handlebar switch I bought has a rear light output built in, but I intend to use it for one of 3 front lights instead. My current plan for its "setting 1" (which might need to be rethought, let me know !) is to simply run the relevant switch output to a 36V to 9V...

Help pls ! - fuses / fuse holders

Thanks a lot. I'll be able to get fuses installed for everything with a mix of all those by the looks of it :) Just another thing which I didn't quite understand ... I'll be using a bunch of DC-DC converters, most likely one converter for each relevant accessory barring the front CREE & rear...
