    The Moustache Samedi 29 9s

Great to read a review on this bike as it's very hard to find reports on it. I'm pretty staggered at the price for what you get (i.e. it's high !). Shimano Deore LX is the absolute minimum groupset I'd expect to see on a bike in that range - and Acera is real budget level stuff (if they used...

are the newer crank motors different to the earlier models ?

It's one of Old_Dave's specialities - along with posting photos of solutions with no links as to how to identify what they are and where you get 'em ;)

The dutch get "motorways" to ride on!

Those are the ones on the roads ... the 'pavement' cycle lanes are even worse - like an off-road adventure you'd be better off with full suspension for half the time. Tree roots lifted all the paved surfaces into mini hills and cracked up in between - if you were out to jump about on a BMX...

    Pertaining to ebikes

Yup - and there are a few of them near me, pretty much on the way to all my favourite spots  ... Still, when this is waiting for you at the end of your ride pedal effort dosn't seem quite such a burden - though the audible cry of anguish lycra who had to stop on one of the hills behind...

Help pls ! - fuses / fuse holders

Hi. Slight tearing out of hair moment trying to find fuse holders rated for 36V supplies (pref waterproof). I have some like this for use with lights which I intend to install after DC-DC converters in feeds to charger outlet sockets / lighting supply wires, which I hope are OK ? : 5 amp mini...

    Wiring connector options

Some great new socket connectors coming out. The females on these are sealed until a male is coupled with no need for caps or plugs : NCC Steckverbinder Serie 770 - YouTube Can't find details of options anywhere though. Might be of interest to self-build projects.

Took the plunge and now bought my first e-bike!!

... and I seem to recall that the laws in the US (where some larger people are known to reside) permit a higher continuous output rating than in Europe before a bike is no longer considered to be a bicycle. So far as I'm aware ...

    Converting a "Fatty"

I might need a less angular approach to such a challenge to be fair. Just seen this too - it seems the proposterous pricing bug for quirky offerings is catching : 9:ZERO:7 Puts a Belt on a Fattie, Along with NuVinci N360 Hub - Bike Rumor As ever, nothing "in the middle"

Benefits of fitting a Cycle Analyst ?

^^ ... that's the one that got away. ;) Am feeling OK about leaving the CA tbh as it'll be mounted and of no possible use or interest to anyone other than a DIY eBike builder. So would only be mindless vandalism like the guy whose controller got trashed recently, which would just be bad...

    Converting a "Fatty"

I missed that actually - thanks ! Pretty much my ideal bike for leisure that is. Shame about the price and I'd like 3 times the range. Not a golfer but would happily tow my wakeboard bag behind one of those and might even get to blow the cobwebs off it and ride again if I had a Hanebrink and...

Benefits of fitting a Cycle Analyst ?

Ouch !! Guess your shipping was a lot higher due to the BB torque sensor. Hope you don't get hammered for too much clearance costs on top of that . I selected CAD when ordering as it was ever so slightly cheaper than USD using PayPal conversion but USD and CAD are virtually on a parity now...

More government support for 4-wheelers, nothing for 2-wheelers....

Yup ... that's what we used to use in Africa pretty much as a way of life despite being on mains. Power cuts nearly every single day and massive power surges every time they tried to restore supply blowing everything on an extension lead up you can think of if you forgot to turn it off at the...

Benefits of fitting a Cycle Analyst ?

Gave all this a lot of thought today. In conclusion, I've read about too many problems to have enough confidence in Speedict to adopt it right now. Plus buying a £40 phone on top of Speedict to run the thing and then not being able to walk away and leave it mounted without it being a "nick me...
