    Brexit, for once some facts.

This word is starting to appear a little bit too frequently as well.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

There are certain things foreign nationals can't do in this country or many other countries for that matter. Vote, be a policeman, hold public office, for example, there are other situations. Extending this to ensure employment priority for the citizens of a country is not racist. It makes sense...

    To you, maybe.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

derf, you talk about racism and here we have you rebuking friendship with a foreign country and its new leader. Give the man a chance.
  5. tillson

    Brexit, for once some facts.

    derf, this really is piffle.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

There is no evidence there derf, just excitable journalism. Farage said that he would prioritise a job vacancy within the UK for a UK based citizen and not offer it to a foreign national in the first instance.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Personally, I think it is a mistake to intentionally sour a relationship with foreign nationals or a foreign country, particularly if they are offering no hostility in return.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Again, there is no evidence to support this.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I do not believe that Nigel Farage is a racist and have seen no evidence which supports your claim.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary have put themselves on the back foot with the new president of the USA. Mrs May spoke about barring him from entering the UK and The Foreign Secretary has said that he is, "Cleary out of his mind." Of course, like many people, both are hopelessly out of...

Differences have flowed in both directions. I wouldn't call it vile though.

In terms of popularity with the electorate, it does indeed appear that Hilary Clinton is in first place. I think all that we can agree on is that there are a number of ways to gauge popularity; number of votes, number of constituencies won, number of party members etc. Some of the methods place...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The UK is a member of the EU. I'm not sure that any sabotage has taken place. The UK were wise not to join the Euro. I think some of the countries which are part of the Euro zone will ultimately bring about its failure.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

No hopes dashed wicky. Farage has done an admirable job so far in the face of vile and unfair criticism. It's also to his credit that he has maintained a dignified and statesman like persona throughout, rising above such activity. Farage has done no harm to UK / US relationships, unlike May &...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Again, you are correct because the figures I quoted are from the 2015 General Election. I wouldn't like to say whether UKIP's popularity has strengthened or subsided. My hunch is that UKIP's popularity is increasing, maintaining their third place. The General Election is the only hard...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Yes, you are correct. In terms of membership numbers / party size, UKIP does appear to be in 6th place. My reference to being in third place wasn't worded very well and I should have stated that UKIP are the third most popular party in UK politics in terms of votes cast. Cons 36.1% Labs 30.4%...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Nigel Farage is an elected politician. He has been elected as a politician to the EU Parliament. He has shown friendship and support to one of the UK's allies, the US and their new president. Farage is also the leader of the third largest party in UK politics.

I have no access to US records, so can't answer that question. My personal opinion is as follows; I don't think that the sentiment of Trump's statement is that if a person is in the country illegally, then that automatically makes them a criminal and an illegal immigrant. I believe that under...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I think Mrs May would be wise to swallow her pride, deflate her ego a little and form a working relationship with Nigel Farage. Number 10 have made some unpleasant remarks about Donald Trump during the run up to the election. I imagine that yet again they underestimated public opinion and...
