Ebay seller ' Electric Bike Conversions ' seem to be doing well :)

They're still getting lots of positive feedback. Nice to know that there are quality bikes and kits available for those on a tight budget. Electric Bike Conversions Feedback Wish they had been around when I was after a kit a few years ago. I ended up spending a small fortune.

What on earth is the wife doing in the garage for it to get in her way lol?

    cyclamatic charger?

Definitely do what OldBob1 recommends, but also check the contacts on the charger plug (the bit that fits in the battery) and also the charging socket on the battery. If your son has been connecting the charger to the battery without energizing the charger first, the tiny spark can tarnish the...

A salutary and life changing event for both parties

I notice it states the woman's insurance paid for the costs. Anyone know what type of insurance would cover an incidence like this?

Anyone bought from these sellers or this product (Battery)

Will scour the net for something similar, in case that one never tips up. Have you contacted the eBay seller, to see if they do spares? Fun2ride seller

Anyone bought from these sellers or this product (Battery)

When you say fit in with mine, do you mean size wise? Also, are you still after one since you had the non delivery? Guessing this is for your fun2ride bike ;)

BBS01 programming - that doesn't fry the controller

Glad you like the result. Be careful with the 'Start Current' though. Too high, and you may put excess strain on the unit's internal gears, as it'll put more torque through them from a standstill.

BBS01 programming - that doesn't fry the controller

Will provide an explanation at a later date, when I can find what I wrote. As for setting the 'Keep Current' to 100%, then no problem. That would basically unlock the full potential of the controller at all times. Obviously, depending on how your controller is presently programmed, there will...

    Helmets @ Aldi

Do they hold goggles with an elastic strap only, or can they hold a pair of cycling glasses too? Can't see on the Aldi picture, quite how the holder works.

Open message to all about recent posts

I agree with you there Smart eBiker and I have shamefully done exactly as you describe. Very rarely thankfully  It is far too easy to direct animosity towards a single forum member. Even though we are loosely termed as a community, we are not all in one room having a beer and socially...

BBS01 programming - that doesn't fry the controller

Sorry, I don't know why, but I can suggest a workaround solution to providing some extra power the motor. Without changing the max amps from 15A to 18A, as you have been doing, go to the 'Pedal Assist' page in the programming software. There you will see a parameter called 'Keep Current'. It...

Bike wont go Faster Than 20mph on down hill.

If it's one of these, then it does look like a DD motor: Electric Fun2ride Scooter As flecc suggests, the motor might be acting like a generator at speed. Small wheels compound the problem, as they spin the motor faster at any given road speed. The bike might also have a energy regeneration...

Does car battery voltage drop when it gets colder?

I did end up buying a little device that plugs into the DC lighter socket on the dashboard, and gives a real time voltage reading. Only cost a few quid: It shows the voltage of the battery when the engine isn't running, and the voltage of the alternator when the engine is running. It should...

Recommended Chain upgrade for Kudos Duke.

If I were you Maverick777, I would go for the KMC Z1X Ept Single Speed Chain, as shown in flecc's first link. A chain is a fit and forget for thousands of miles item, and it's well worth spending a little more on a higher quality product.
