Wanted someone in england to wire up my ca3

So on the CA-DP plug you are getting a reading of 5v when connecting the multimeter to the GND (Black) and V+ (Red). Then also a reading, ranging from 0 - 5 volts as you twist the throttle, when you connect the multimeter to the GND (Black) and ThO (Green) ??? Come to think of it, the GND...

    Mystery creak solved :)

Out on the bike yesterday, there was a most annoying creak coming what I thought was the headset area. So on returning, I tightened the headset a fraction and put the bike away for the day. Out today, the creak was still there  The creak would materialize every now and again whilst riding...

Has Giant manufactured their own crank drive system?

Good to see manufacturers are starting to introduce fast chargers as standard too. 4 amps on that Giant road bike, instead of the usual 2 amp charger.

You've established that the controller throttle circuit is working, by plugging the throttle directly into the controller and riding the bike. Check! You've tested the CA-DP throttle signal from the CA display wiring, and got a range of 0-5 volts, rising, as you twist the throttle. Check! Then...

New electric Haibike for kids, not as sensible as I thought :(

Aha, thanks for the info flecc. Never thought of checking European laws, just assumed they would be the same. Maybe more kids would be out on bikes, socialising, and not on their gaming consoles if we abolished this age restriction.

New electric Haibike for kids, not as sensible as I thought :(

When I came across the new electric Haibike aimed at young riders, I thought, hey, respect to Haibike for catering for the younger generation. http://www.fullycharged.com/Haibike-2016-sDuro-HardFour-RX Then I saw the ' for off-road use only ' statement and realised that maybe this bike isn't...

New bike, but twisted and kinked break cable

If your new bike came pre-boxed with the handlebars separate from the frame, then you may have fitted them slightly wrong. If this is the case, removing the handlebars again and untwisting the brake cable may solve the problem.

ADVICE NEEDED UPGRADE VOLT PULSE TO 500 OR 750W

See you've been lying low since the start of 2014. Time to clear out the shed, buy the other half some flowers to keep her happy, and really get stuck in to this addictive hobby :p

ADVICE NEEDED UPGRADE VOLT PULSE TO 500 OR 750W

If you mean upgrade your existing bike, then you may find it more difficult than you think to upgrade. If this is similar to yours, then to get more speed/power then as Trex and KirstinS say, you will need a more powerful controller and a motor capable of handling that extra power. The...

Wanted someone in england to wire up my ca3

Well that's good news you're getting a signal from the CA-DP plug. It's worth contacting the vendor, to see if you can get hold of the schematic for the controller wiring, but I should imagine that they all come compatibly wired. Then again, Chinese quality control still isn't what it should be...

Wanted someone in england to wire up my ca3

I reckon the parameters you need to be looking at to match your throttle are: SETUP THROT IN SETUP THROT OUT If any of those settings are out of kilter, then the controller won't be receiving the correct signal it needs to work. At least you know the controller and motor is functioning, as...

Has Giant manufactured their own crank drive system?

Perusing the net tonight, looking for my Xmas present... ahem, I wish.... and came across this Giant electric bike: http://www.wheelies.co.uk/p84056/Giant-Dirt-E-2-2016-Electric-Bike.aspx It doesn't mention Bosch or Yamaha, so has Giant sneakily manufactured their own system?

As Cyclezee says in the other thread, try posting your questions on Endless Sphere. Not many members on here have a great deal of experience with the CA V3. There are more members over there, that connect these displays to monster power controllers and motors. Not read through, but might be a...

anyone got contact phone number for eclipse e bikes

As KirstinS mentions, try using their contact form at the bottom of the page: http://eclipsebikes.com/contact_us.php This should avoid spam blocking, firewall and anti-virus issues. I bought a BBS02 kit and battery from them, and even though they can be a bit hit and miss with replying to...
