Ebay seller ' Electric Bike Conversions ' seem to be doing well :)

Forget about whether it is a 250w or 500w motor. You need to find out what the controller is rated at. A 15 amp controller will still draw the same power from a battery, whether it is hooked up to a 250 watt motor or a 500 watt motor. So the range will be the same. The difference is, that you...

Dolphin Frame Battery Pack 48V 11.6A Samsung Cells UK Supplier

It depends on how you're using your bike and how it's set up I suppose. I can get 20 miles out of my BBS02 48v 25A with the PAS always on level 5 (100%). Although my 'Keep Current' is programmed at 80%, so this saves a tiny bit on juice, but not much. The display was on one bar and the battery...

    BBS02 nylon gear

The reason for fitting brake cut-offs is not only for safety. There will be occasions where the motor is still pulling hard, but you are stopping that rotational force with the brakes. Brake cut-offs prevent this situation from occurring. With hydraulic brakes especially, due to the immense...

    BBS02 nylon gear

Ha ha nice find Geebee. Yeah, and don't have the battery pack hanging out over the rear wheel. The torque in the lower gears will throw you off the back, as the idiot in the video kindly demonstrates lol

Looks like a good light. Can the lamp unit be swivelled left and right once mounted on the handlebars?

Dolphin Frame Battery Pack 48V 11.6A Samsung Cells UK Supplier

Eclipse sell out of these pretty quick and always seem to be sought after on this forum. So just in case anyone wants to purchase a Samsung celled 48v 11.6A dolphin pack from a UK supplier, then there's a business seller on eBay who offers them too: Dolphin 48V 11.6A Bottle Mount eBike Electric...

Ebay seller ' Electric Bike Conversions ' seem to be doing well :)

For those who have plunged into this thread at the deep end and wonder what the original topic was all about ;) Many months ago, a seller of electric bike conversion kits, conveniently named ' Electric Bike Conversions ', was mentioned on this forum: Electric Bike Conversions They were...

    BBS02 nylon gear

Don't give up on it yet. I've given my BBS02 a good workout for the past 1500 miles and the chain, cassette and Bafang unit are still holding up well. I also slightly modded my controller software a few hundred miles ago, to keep the torque from dropping so low once moving. What symptoms have...

Ebay seller ' Electric Bike Conversions ' seem to be doing well :)

Kinninvie is right on the button about common sense. Far too many idiots around, riding without helmets, pulling wheelies as far as they can go, riding no handed, no lights at dusk and night, curb hopping from pavement to road and dangerously back again in heavy traffic, thinking traffic...

Ebay seller ' Electric Bike Conversions ' seem to be doing well :)

Unfortunately, I cannot make those choices for you. If you were to be involved in an incident with a vehicle, then it wouldn't matter what PAS mode or throttle level you are riding. We all know what we are talking about without going into a debate. I get really tired of those threads nowadays...

Ebay seller ' Electric Bike Conversions ' seem to be doing well :)

I ride a very small section of back roads, but no more than half a mile in length and I don't purposely limit the speed, although I do take it at a leisurely pace. Mostly back lanes, gravel paths and dirt tracks for me. I built this bike for torque, rather than outright speed.

    bafang mid drive thumb throttle

Will depend on how yours has been programmed either from Bafang or whoever you purchased it from. You need a programming cable and Bafang's software to look at the parameters though:

    How many torque arms

I don't want to cast doubt in your mind, but for something that costs a few euros, I would fit at least one torque arm on a low powered set-up. Probably easiest on the non freewheel/cassette side. It would lessen any risk of the axle working the nut loose. Even on a low powered motor, there's...

    Ebay E bikes

If it really does 30mph, then as danielrlee points out, it would have to utilise a fast winding motor and a fairly beefy controller. As it's only a 36v system, then possibly a 25+ amp controller. Anything less and it's unlikely to reach that kind of top speed. Trouble with fast winding motors...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Does look interesting up that way. I've never travelled that far west along the C2C. Would need to do some serious battery power management, if I were to do a round trip to the area SpezElec shows in the video. If it's as far as I think it is.

You're a braver man than me riding on the one way system before the Alex bridge. That road system is a complete mess

Checking if a used bike has a reasonable battery

Mmmmmm, I seem to remember some geezer selling home made bombs, I mean battery packs on eBay, that were less than satisfactory. This one might be alright though

Checking if a used bike has a reasonable battery

I'm certainly no expert, but I'm sure that a voltage measurement would be a very poor indication of the condition of the battery. I would personally put a known load of the correct voltage across the terminals of the battery (hot off the charger) and see how long it takes to drain to it's BMS...
